Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?
Here is what I found in an older BC Nursing thread:So I'm guessing they're waiting for approval from the RN department since you have your CNA license. Hope this helps, don't be nervous I'm sure you got in :)
I really hope so I've been waiting to apply since summer but I had a lot of things holding me back. I remember reading you deferred your seat are you ready for this term?
Hey Central gals and guys,
How did you fair out this week? First hospital day next week so exciting. This is the most studying I've done in a month. We are now well versed into what is expected of us in this program. Commitment, perseverance, consistency and dedication is what we need to make it through this program. Hang in there folks.
I am so nervous I am still studying for the HESi, can I submit my application without taking the HESI? Please help
Yes you can submit your application without the Hesi. Just take the hesi ASAP after submitting. I submitted my application before I took the hesi and it was no problem at all
What a week its been! Just passed my Return Demo on the second try. Word to the wise for all the others coming in, stay on top of everything, dont slack. Use your time in the lab effectively and remember to breathe. This program is super tough, but is very doable. Keep your head up and stay out of drama and you will be fine. Tomorrow is the first hospital day and i will update on that experience! Woosah!
