Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

You've been accepted into the program providing you accept the seat when they email you. Congrats! :)

OMG! Yaayyy!!! Thanks!!

Are they already showing pre admission for students for January 2015??

Yes they are :)

Wow so early? I just turned in my application this week I'm such a procrastinator I wish I'd turned it in sooner.. I pray I get some good news

They sure are!

Congrats!!!!! When did you turn in your application?

Did you check your status? What does it say?

It says denied pending depart approval. What exactly do you think that means?

From what I've seen in other threads some peoples status said that because they took their HCP course at Sheridan tech and they had to wait for the school to confirm it. Did you take your HCP course somewhere else?

Definitely contact Nicole at Central (via email is the quickest way to contact her; she hardly ever answer the phone) and ask her why your status says that and she will let you know exactly what the hold up is.

I'm really freaking out because last term they didn't start accepting students until a month before the term started. I'm thinking they must have had a lot of applications turned in this time

I have a CNA license which I turned in a copy of I never took the HCP.. I have to wait until Monday to contact Nicole because office hours are mon-thurs
