Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Yea, I was hoping to get purple. I looove purple!

Quick question, are there any color restrictions on the watches, penlights, and stethoscopes we're allowed to use for the program?

No. My penlight is pink, my stethoscope is purple.

Good morning everyone! Happy New Year!! :D :p

So I'm about to start the assignment and I wanted to know, do we write in pen or pencil?

Hey guys! If anyone knows anyone pursuing the program and needs an HCP course textbook or anatomy textbook I'm selling mine! Just contact me for any questions :)

Thanks guys for the encouragement. Get ready because your lives are about to change dramatically lol. Just remember to breathe and stay away from all the basket cases. Trust me you will spot them a mile away and the anxiety coming off of them wont be very helpful before tests. Try to stay focused, do ALL questions in back of book, online in d2lmodules, the interactive modules, use Youtube whenever possible, the elsvier website, and read, read, read! :wacky:

I see you guys are quiet, now you understand dont ya, lol. Hope you guys rock your Vital Sign check off this week!

Can you guys tell me if the lab is open on weekends in central campus and if so what are the hours?

It's open Saturdays. I would avoid the lab because Burroughs is the only one there. I've been there at 9am until 2pm. It closes at 3 or four, but if there's noone there she will leave... :(

North campus lab is close on weekends and I have return demo on Tuesday so it's critical I be there saturday.. I hope Burroughs doesn't make it a bad experience 😳

It's open at 10am. She won't make it a bad experience as long as you wear your uniform and hair up and clean up after yourself than you will be fine. There are always a lot of people there especially this week because our return demo is next week as well. I wanted to add that the lab is open until 4.

Hi I'm already accepted for May just deferred my seat for august. You're more than fine. They pretty much accepted everyone who applied. Literally lol

Hey there! I am applying for MAY 2015, but since I am just finishing chem and lab this winter semester... I may be considering starting in August! (to take micro in summer)

Wanted to know the process of deferring once you get accepted..

Your guaranteed a spot for next term??

Do you still get the same campus you choose when you first get accepted?

Thank you so much! With a GPA of 3.5 -86% HESI..Think I have a shot?

Much love

Hi all I'm also applying to BC's Nursing program for the August 2014 term. I have a 3.5 G.P.A and I have a 82% on my overall HESI score. I was accepted for the May 2014 term but was not able to go because of a issue with my job :-( so I was told that I could start in August :-) so any tips on the reading and CEU's would be greatly appreciated!!!

I too have a GPA of a 3.5 -86%HESI **PRAYING I GET IN!**

I am considering deferring my seat to Aug to take MICROBIO in the summer..

What is the process of deferring your seat once you receive acceptance?

You are guaranteed your spot..and campus of choice??

Also, is there a chance they can change pre-reqs for the program in that short amount of time?

Oh the decisions to be made.. :cautious:

Thanks for the help
