I don't start until September 9th but, I hope that you all have a wonderful day today that you will remember forever!

:ancong!:

I'm rootin' for you!! :flwrhrts::anpom::yelclap::w00t:

yep, it's my first day too. And I am super excited!!

I had been counting down the days nursing school will start, not becos I was excited, but nervous. I guess cos maybe I can't afford to buy all my books and my uniforms. So I feel so blank and unprepared for nursing school.

I know exactly how you feel mstayci...I wasnt able to buy all of my books at one time, nor was I able to purchase my nursing kit. which a whole handful of people were verbally reprimanded along with myself about not being "prepared for class" this morning.

Here's an update on the fly... Gotta love my iPhone. I'm killing time waiting for my pharm class. Skills lab: they gave us a paper and sent us on our way. That gave me 4 hours to kill, but I got all my reading done for next week. I'll post more later, but so far kind of uneventful. Tomorrow is undamenals (that's fundamentals in iphoneese.) That should be more interesting. Been here since 7am. Didn't sleep much... Going to bed early tonight for sure.

I have all my stuff packed and ready to go for the morning! When we went to orientation they gave us a packet of stuff to do, finished that this morning, I am cleaning the mess out of the house, and packing stuff because we are moving in the next few weeks (my hubby hurt himself in the beginning of july and when we went back to the Dr thursday they said it would be jan or feb before he was able to walk again)

Wow! Sorry to hear about your husband!

Good luck to all you future nurses! Buckle up, it's gonna be one hell of a ride for the next two years! You can do it!

Soooooo. How was the first day guys?

I got this!!!! We have nothing to fear but fear itself. With a little hard work...and a few tears....two years will fly by!

Well I know we were supposed to post after the first day, but today was my 4th. I stupidly thought I'd have time to be online, LOL, NOT!!! I wasn't able to sleep the night b4 the 2nd day either, ugh. Now I have Unisom!! Thank God! Anyways, I've been studying/reading/doing homework up til time for me to go to bed. The people in my class are awesome and I can tell we are going to have fun over the next two years. Some of the people I had the last 2 semesters of pre-reqs with, so we already "know" each other. We already have 3 tests next week. Growth & Development, Dosage Calculations and Nutrition. I've been super busy and now just wish I could get used to the sleep schedule. I get up at 530am and go to bed at 930pm. Tomorrow we only have to go to school for a handwashing lab from 8-830am. So, that'll be nice. And I'm looking forward to sleeping on Saturday morning. Hope everyone had a good first couple of days. KEEP ON PUSHING! We already had one of the guys drop out yesterday :(

This is LATE but I also started NS on the 17th. I am currently in my 2nd week and it's going SOOO FAST!! All I have time for is to study. None stop. Just studying. But no matter how much or how long I study I try to get a good night sleep. I may go to sleep early and get up early so I can get some studying in before class.

Good Luck to everyone and Study Hard!!!! Soon we will all be nurses!!:nurse:

Aww congrats guys!! Enjoy it as it goes by fast. Ironically your big day was also my big day: my pinning ceremony!! =)

Best advice is to start preparing for the NCLEX now. You will be thankful for it later.
