Attention Recent Trinitas/UCC Upper Class(wo)men and Grads...need advise :)

I recently got accepted to Trinitas for this fall semester (Hurray!!! ) and I need some advise. I need to know how hard is NURE 130 because the councelors have TOTALLY discouraged me and rocked my faith in myself. I have a full course load: CHE 113 w/lab, BIO 105 w/lab, and ENG 101. When I registed, one of the councelors said, that she would "BET" money on me failing (THAT IS A DIRECT QUOTE)!!!!! I went into registarion confident but came out scared to death. What exactly am I getting myself into?!?!?

Well I graduated from Trinitas last month and agree with the previous posts, that it is a difficult program. But if you're truly committed (ie reading, practicing skills, asking questions, etc,) and make the necessary sarifices you can definitely graduate from the program, might not be with straight A's but at the end of the day that doesn't matter..as long as you pass the program and get your license who cares what grades you got.

I was just wondering if i completed most of my pre-requisites except Humanities and i have a 2.7 GPA do you think I stand a chance of getting an invitation of acceptance to this program? I spoke to a counselor and she said I have to do at least one semester with them before I enter the clinical phase. I just want a heads up before i go there do a semester then when it comes time to enter the NUR courses I get rejected because of my GPA.

i'm not 100% sure. but i believe the req is a 2.75 gpa. you might want to check with the counselor.

Hi :) I posted this question on another UCC thread but just in case anyone sees this first...my question is if I want to go to UCC for my pre-req's with hopes of going into their nursing program, should I apply for a different major and then change or do I take classes as a non-degree student? I already have a BA so I am only going to need the main pre-req courses. Thanks!

I don't know if anyone will read this message because it is a while after the last posts, but because you all seem to know your stuff about Trinitas, Do you think it is possible to get a New Graduate Position at Trinitas Hospital if you did NOT attend their nursing school. I attending just as a vigorious program else where and am very interested in getting a position at Trinitas.

Anyone have any idea if this is possible?!?!?!?!?!?

It is possible to get a new grad position if you went to another nursing school actually one of the nurses that started with me graduated from a different nursing school...but it is very hard because they give more preference to their graduates

thank you so much for getting back to me I really appreciate, and I hope so I didn't hear anything yet so it isn't looking so good, but I'll try to stay positive I guess. Did you go to their nursing school and get a position?...
