For me,i am finding it difficult getting started here in Atlanta may be cos of my inexperience. No facility want to waste their money training me.They want me to go else-where get orientation, then come back so that they can take me.But i guess,if you are trained here and have worked somewhere, you'll not find it difficult getting a job.

Are there plentiful jobs available for new grads in atlanta? Or will I have to look hard for a job? I'm moving from philaelphia.
I'm moving from the DC area and am a new grad. I've had several job interviews and a couple job offers so I haven't found it too difficult to find an RN job in Atlanta. It may not be your perfect job but you can always transfer later on. I know of one slot available in particular. PM me if you're interested.
Good luck!

Do you want to stay IN atlanta? I'm in MN, but originally from north GA. There's a beautiful town about an hour north of Atlanta called Jasper. Their hospital is hiring- and usually advertizes a sign on bonus. In January I called them just out of curiosity. THey said they have no qualms about new nurses, and starting pay is $26 an hour.
I was looking a couple weeks ago and Saint Joseph's had a job for new LPN Grad, but I looked today and it's gone guess they don't las t long around here...It seems like we are stuck in LTC or in DR office
Call around to insurance agencies. Some will hire LPN's to do the physical assessment needed for life insurance.

I know which hospital you speak of. Do they really pay that much?! I considered applying there, but it's a good 50 mile drive which doesn't make it fiscally realistic to switch to.

What hospital in Jasper? I live in Duluth which is N. metro Atl and looking to apply northward instead of down in the city. Anything to avoid Atlanta traffic!!!
