ASU Fall 2010 Hopefuls

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Ok gang, now it's our turn to start sharing information, tips and score ranges for those applying to the ASU (Arizona State) upper division nursing program for the Fall 2010 semester.

With the new TEAS testing requirement, I'm not sure we can apply to our situation the historical score ranges from the past (when they had to take the NET) so let's all share information and support for those of us applying for advancement.

I took the TEAS today got an 85.3% composite score. Both the program and national percentile scores were 98%. I'm applying with a 4.0 GPA. If this was a NET score submission for the Spring 2010 semester, I'd be right on the bubble. I'm wondering how others are scoring on the TEAS and if anyone's heard of any nuances in the application of those scores to our overall advancement scores. I'm under the impression that the Program Percentile score is pretty important as it is the ranking within our program exclusively - does anyone know if that is correct or not?

I recall that there will be only 60 advanced into the upper division program this Fall so I know the competition is going to be stiff.

If anyone has any information regarding scoring, numbers applying, numbers to be advanced, etc, please share! It's a long way off until they let us know where we stand - It will be nice to have a forum where we can bounce off one another.

wantanabe: thanks for the info - it's much appreciated.

rerazo: great job! Those are solid scores - you're ahead of me.

I've been waiting patiently - without too much anxiety until I read that one post. Considering there's less than 15 people on this thread, I hope we all get in. Good luck to everyone :)

I'm so surprised how few people are participating in the thread. I've used it as a lifeline. I've been watching it since is was first started but have only recently began to participate. It's the first thing I look at in the morning when I log in and the last thing I look at in the evening before I power off. Since school has been out, it's been one of the only sources of information I've had. I've kept in touch with a couple of classmates who applied, but for the most part, this is it. If you're one of the "lurkers" out there like I was, jump on in and add your comments - it really helps to "talk" out some of the anxiety!

We're getting close!!!!!!:grn:

It looks like my last message was cut off...

What I was going to say was that I used this website to briefly study for the teas exam: TEAS® Exam Practice Questions - Help your Test of Essential Academic Skills™ Score with free unofficial Preparation Materials for the TEAS® Test

It is free and from what I saw pretty close to the actual exam. I can't speak for the helpfulness of the other study guides, but I would think that every little bit would help, and if I don't get in this time I will study much harder than I did this time.

Good luck to everyone here!

So.....anyone hear anything lately? Has anyone had contact with the advising office to see if the letters are still set to go out next week? Just thought I'd ask...............

we should have it by next week. My advisor told me:yeah:. Look for a big envelope because a small one is a rejection letter.

I was in the advising office yesterday and they said the letters will be mailed next week!:w00t::w00t::w00t:

Good luck to everyone!

Congratulations to those that do get into the nursing program and to those that do not get in this time do not be discouraged because your time will come :)

Hello all, I just finished my junior 1 semester and will be starting junior 2 this fall. I just wanted to say good luck! :D

I just want to make sure I have my timing right, so you're waiting to find out if you guys start fall 2010, as in this august? If so than I cant believe they waited this long, the previous cycles knew about 6 months in advance! Anyway, I know the wait is hard but its getting close, hopefully you'll all get in!!

Hey guys! call 602-496-0888 Student Office to know the cut off, ranking, and when the letter of acceptance will be mailed! :yeah:

Ryonaki,

Spare me a phone call pleaseeee, what's the cut off score?

Thanks

I called that number... They said they wouldn't be able to give out that information until after the letters were all mailed out. All she said is that they will be mailed out sometime this week (which we already knew). Oh well, just have to wait. If you know what the cutoff score is, please share. Thanks.

Hey Ryonaki - I made the same call that jbackphx did and got the same answer. I can see you're viewing the page (see "currently reading this page" at the bottom of this screen) so what's the answer? Did you get an answer or are you just messing with us?
