  1. Hi everyone, So I took my nclex on February 16th and I have been waiting for my results to post. I did the Pearson Vue trick, and luckily I got the 'good pop up'. However because I was a bit skeptical, this morning I had the opportunity to pay for the quick results on pearson vue which said I PASSED!!! Thankfully I was able to get a job before I took the test and now I am in the waiting process of my license to officially appear on the Arizona Board of Nursing. Does anyone know how long it would normally take for it to post the official results? Although the unofficial results say I passed, I believe we cannot practice without an official license in Arizona...
  2. Hi! I think the best thing to do is really try your best to get A's in your classes. I think now ASU will be doing interviews so I guess your entrance won't all depend on your grades, but having good grades and a good teas score allows you to have the chance to actually interview. I would recommend you to really utilize all of your resources. If possible, go to study sessions, and get help from TA's, make study groups, etc. It seems like you're very determined and with that determination, you'll be able to get where you need to be :) Good luck!
  3. Hi everyone, I got my advancement letter today in the mail. I've been so nervous about it all semester, but I'm definitely excited and happy to be part of the program :) Does anyone happen to know when school would start? Are we starting on the same day as every ASU student? And should we re-read our biology/physiology and pathophysiology books in order to prep for the program? If anyone can give me any input on this, that would be great. Also for those that are on the alternate list, don't give up!
  4. wow that is so good! yeah i'm pretty sure that's your score! :)
  5. Hi Dreamingbig, I'm also applying for the spring 2011. I'm actually going to re-take my teas next thursday after I went to my advisor and they told me the teas average; so i'm pretty nervous and scared. I have a 4.0 and I got an 86% on my teas but I wanted to retake my teas just in case. Do you happen to have the study aid book? if you don't then you should really look into investing in one. They're very helpful :) or ask someone if you can borrow it. How i study for my teas is just constantly taking down notes. I guess it all just depends upon what kind of study habits you have. But i'm a type of person that needs to write things down over and over again and practice over and over again in order to truly ingrain it into my brain. But don't worry too much, i'm sure you'll be fine. And I know that we're all competing against each other but regardless of the competition, if you need help with anything just let me know and i'll try my best to help you out. You can do it! I also have a question though...has anyone heard any details about the interviews that will take place? All i know was that the school was going to pick the top 90 and do interviews and drop 30...but has anyone heard any other details in regards to the interviews??
  6. First off, i just wanted to apologize if this topic ended up being offensive to anyone. it was not my intention ever, i'll try my best to prevent such matters from happening again:) and secondly, congratulations to those that made it into the fall 2010 program! I'm going to be turning in my application and several months ago i did blood work to see if I had positive titers for the mumps, rebeola, and rubella. I got my lab paper back and next to rebeola it says "positive", but it doesn't say anything next to rubella or the mumps. I called my doctor and the lab technician and they said that it means positive for all three...but i'm still iffy about that. if anyone knows if it does indeed mean "positive" for all three then please let me know. thanks in advance.
  7. Good luck to everyone! Congratulations to those that do get into the nursing program and to those that do not get in this time do not be discouraged because your time will come :)
  8. I'm sorry...this might be a stupid question but what is the difference between being accepted at the mayo clinic vs. downtown? is one significantly harder than the other? Does one have better instructors or a higher nclex passing score? If someone can let me know that would be great.
  9. Hey everyone, I'm going to be applying for the Spring 2011 ASU Nursing program and was wondering if there were any others that was also planning to apply. I took my TEAS in April and from reading the fall 2010 applicants post on the "ASU FALL 2010 HOPEFULS" it seems like a lot of people got really high scores...so I'm kind of scared. But I'm sure many of us are in the same boat :)
