  1. I'm going downtown! Couldn't do the Mayo anyway. I need summers off! I doubt I would have made it anyway, but it works either way. Congratulation to everyone that made it! And good luck to Spring '10 prospective students!!!! Don't give up! You'll get in! Also, I appreciate everyone's support on this forum and I'm glad we were able to share our personal information. Thank you, :) Josh
  2. Really? cool, that means I got in. Good choice for you Ryonaki! I wish I was a little younger and I would take the same route. I am planning on becoming a Nurse Practitioner with a concentration to psychiatrics. Good job and congrats!
  3. I also apologize. I came to this site for the same reasons as everyone else... To get support. I feel bad that things ended up the way they did, so Ryonaki, I'm sorry. It was very childish of me. Good luck to you and everyone! Like Wantanabe said, if you don't make it this time around... focus on your weak points and nail the Teas next time! Eventually, we will all get in with a little work. Again, good luck to all!
  4. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! Nice Wantanabe! That's great! Made me laugh. Thanks, Josh
  5. Good point.. Might be worth the phone call! Please post if you decide to call and I'll do the same. Good luck to everyone!!
  6. Sorry for losing my cool Ryonaki. However, I'm NOT scared about getting in... if I do get in, I'll have to quit my high paying job and find full time daycare. Although, being a nurse is what I want to do, it's not going to bring in near as much money as I currently make, so if I don't get in... I'll be just fine. Good luck to you too! I'm too old to worry about spilled milk.
  7. Hey Ryonaki! Quit acting like you have a clue what the cut-off will be! Sure, we all know the letters were mailed out today, so there is a good chance we'll get them tomorrow. However, there is no way that you know what the cut-off will be or how many people scored over an 87 with a 4.0. Please, give it up! Since you are the smartest person probably applying to ASU's nursing program (according to you), why don't you just go to Harvard Medical School instead?
  8. I called that number... They said they wouldn't be able to give out that information until after the letters were all mailed out. All she said is that they will be mailed out sometime this week (which we already knew). Oh well, just have to wait. If you know what the cutoff score is, please share. Thanks.
  9. I agree with you completely aznursetobe! Everyone who gets in are definately ALL the top people. I can't do the Mayo because I have my son during the summer while school is out this year.
  10. I just confirmed with my advisor that there were 20 seats added and that letters will be mailed out sometime next week for students to mark their preference. The 20 additional seats are for the Mayo program.
  11. Hi Areli88, What semester did you originally apply for (summer or spring)? That's really too bad you missed it by such a small amount! Your TEAS score is awesome! I think in general, the scores will be lower all around than the NET test scores, and yours is really high. You have a really good chance on getting in this time around and I hope you do! Good luck! We'll just have to hope that 60 of the applicants don't have a 4.0 with a 80+ on the TEAS!!
  12. Well, IMO, that's a really good score you should be proud of! You definately have a good shot at acceptance. Good luck to you and everyone else on this forum!!
  13. What was your TEAS score Crickets? And, what was your select GPA (if you don't mind me asking)? Many other forums state that averages for the TEAS V for their school were around the 65-75 range. I can't imagine us being that far above the rest.
  14. I just took the TEAS yesterday and scored an 80 (percentile rank nationally was 95). I have a 4.0 which leaves me with a 5.6. Cutoffs in the past have been around the 5.6-5.7 mark with a much easier test (NET). I would imagine with the nature of the TEAS V being as tough as it is the cutoff would be much lower, but I could be wrong. In actuality, I'm not too worried. The only difference between an 80 and 85 is only 1/10th of a point. So, if someone with a 3.9 got an 85, my overall score is the same. I can't imagine everyone accepted will have a 4.0 (which really impacts the final score as you know). If that's the case, students with anything lower won't really have a chance. Does anyone know how many students they suspect will apply for the fall semester? I'm assuming it will probably be between 3 and 4 hundred, but I'm not sure. It's just hard to believe that every student applying at ASU is testing in the upper 90th percentile rank when other schools around the country are having a hard time scoring 80! I've read other posts from other students applying for their Universities who have taken the TEAS V say that nearly only 6 of 50 people score 80 or above. That's only 48 people considering 400 applicants. Plus, that doesn't necessarily mean all 48 of them will get in. We all know GPA means more than the TEAS score. I don't think Arizona is the only state full of geniuses! With that said, the people that did well above 80 IMO are not the norm and are gifted! It's just too hard to believe that 60 applicants will have a 4.0 and above 80. I never got anything below a 95% on any test I took in my prereq's and I only got an 80. I only had a week to study for it, but still. As far as the Administrators at ASU go... I think they like to see students get all uptight, worried, and stressed about it . I don't care what they say. They don't know. We don't know. No one knows. I do know that when they look at the TEAS scores, they consider everyone has a 4.0. So they might tell you that your score is low and you don't have a good chance, but that is misleading advice. Like I said, GPA has more bearing on your final score than does the TEAS. Example: and 86 (a score that looks really good to the advisor) on the TEAS and a 3.8 only amounts to a 5.52. That same advisor would look at my score and tell me I need to improve it in order to have a chance. When in the broad scheme of things, I have a 5.6 with an 80 on the TEAS. I don't know... Just some thoughts .
