But just for you!............ http://www.bbc.co.uk/eastenders/
Hello everyone. I'm a yank about to set off for Edinburgh. I will pick up a lovely bunnet before I arrive. I'm not sure how I'll ever understand anyone, but I guess I'll learn quickly. I've been watching Brigadoon every chance I get. Well, I'm off to my dance class -- we're doing the Highland Fling this week.

Ooo - an 'Enders fan. PM me with where you are at storyline-wise and I will try and fill you in! :)
And you would not believe what has been happening in Coronation Street!!
chigap,
Hope you enjoy Edinburgh, dont worry if you dont understand the accent, Im from the west coast of Scotland, but still only about an hours drive from Edinburgh and I dont understand a lot of what they say in their strong accents either. Like CliveUK said dont expect to see many kilts although Edinburgh is probably the best place to go 'kilt spotting' I usually see at least a couple of men in them when Im there (sometimes thats not always a bad thing, depending on the man of course;) )
Are you going anywhere else in Scotland while your here?
Well where ever you go Im sure you'll love it but remember your woolies if your coming soon cause it sure is cold here just now!!
Lisa
Congratulations, chigap! Edinburgh's my home town, and not the warmest place on the planet. Lisa is right, the prevailing wind is from the East, and it blows in across the North Sea, all the way from the Russian Steppes! Being Scotlands Capital city, it has a fairly cosmopolitan population. It also has 3 Universities. (or is it 4 now?) lol. I hope you like history, the "New Town" is nearly 250 years old! As for accents, Edinburgh folk don't have accents, its everyone else that does!
ps Clive, I hear deep fried pizza is even tastier!
