So I have been informed that the selection board for July selected me. I asked my recruiter for a timeline and he says he doesn't know when I'll commission or get orders. There has to be an order to commission me and then HR will get in touch with me through e-mail.
Student loans kick in 6 months after graduation and I have no idea when anything is going to happen. I'm going to have to get a nursing job and hope I don't piss anybody off if I only work for 2 months. Anyway, does anybody have a clue as to what the timeline is on this? How long could this take?

I was selected in the Oct 2017 board process as a 66S in the reserves. I Was notified Nov 16 and did not receive word back on scroll approval until May 17 & I commissioned on May 23. As of yet I still have not received orders due to errors located in my contract and me having to resign corrected contract & whatnot
I'm hoping you do not experience a similar timeline as this but I just wanted you to be aware of how long it could possibly take.
That sucks.... sorry you got held up so much. I hope I'm not waiting so long. So I guess I should get a nursing job.

I was selected for AD 66H for the February board. My recruiter told me July 11th that I was cleared for commission. I just spoke with him this past Friday and still hasn't heard anything about my paperwork. He said he would look into it, but who knows. It almost feels like I'm being Punk'd and will never leave. It seems as if the majority of people are having similar experiences.

I'm a reserve 66H who was selected in the oct 2017 board. I found out I was selected November 12. My scroll came back may 12th. I took the oath of office May 30. Officially signed my contract June 15th due to errors with my paper work. I was told my paperwork was accepted by HR July 23rd and another thirty days until orders are cut and published.
I didn't get an email from HR (yet?). Everyone's experience is different but the same hurry up and wait.

I was active duty, 66HM5 (what is now 66T). My board was in November 2010, found out in early December 2010 I was selected, no orders until the first week of March 2011 (like the 7th or something) with a report date of March 23. Nothing like waiting until the last minute! It was a matter of getting all the funding for the seats at BOLC.
OP, if you try to get a job, I wouldn't tell them you are awaiting commissioning. I actually wouldn't work if you don't have to, because you're potentially taking a spot from someone else who could stay; but yeah, the need for money may override that. lol. If you can get something from the Army showing you've been selected, is there a deferment option for your student loans? At the very least, investigate your SCRA benefits.

Department of Defense is the slowest bureaucracy in the world, probably because it's the biggest. Don't stress if you need to take another job in the mean time. Just show them your military orders when they come through. It will be fine. They should be use to people who serve.
Anyone hear anything yet?

I was selected in May and commissioned June 12. My recruiter told me that they were trying to contact me last week while I was in Cuba but I missed the deadline to start DCC on September 7th. I have left several messages and have not heard anything. My recruiter said he'll call tomorrow.
