I'm from Michigan. How well are transplants from my state accepted? I would mabye like to live up north one day near superior. My dad retired there 12 years ago. I've only been to Minnesota a couple of times. NOt real familiar with the atmosphere. WHats it like compared to Michigan?

I may have transplanted to California 6 years ago but I could understand every word. You can take the girl out of MN but you cant take the MN out of the girl. Granted listening to A Prairie Home Companion religiously every weekend helps me maintain de minnesOda accent donchano

Scandanavian heritage was always strong in Minnesota. Many of my relative had heavy accents. Does not mean we all spoke that way . Understand it yes, speak it , nah.
