Are there any Oklahoma ABSN students out there?

Published

Hello,

I would like some information on the program, how do you like it? Would you pick this school again if you had the chance? I am applying to the program that is being held here in San Diego. I am nervous about the online portion of the program, is it do-able? :uhoh3:

Thanks!

Mine does as well with a number EmplID 1717000. I hope this is a good sign! Maybe tomorrow guys?

Mine has that too... Ugh I'm dying over here!!!

Was that really not there before???

I got a financial award letter in the mail from OUs financial aid office.... does that mean that I was accepted??? Can you get award letters if you aren't offered enrollment????

The letter was dated 7/14/08. That was two days ago!!! What in the world....

I have applied as well and I got my award letter awhile ago - I think it has to do with when you filled out the FAFSA. I wish it meant that we have been accepted, but I don't think it has anything to do with it. SO hope notification is tomorow - I can barely concentrate! :uhoh3:

I received a financial aid award letter from them at the end of May, and I was thinking the same thing. I don't think that it has to do with whether or not you were accepted though. I wish it did! And regarding the emplID thing... it definitely wasn't on mine yesterday. As I said in the other post, the number was always there, but lettering before that is new. Who knows. I wish they would just tell us already!! It is consuming my thoughts!

oh darn... well there goes that hope, haha.

I wonder if other people got letters that did not get accepted, that stinks...

Well is there anyone that DOESN'T have that change? I'm guessing it was just an update b/c EmplID is a standard field in PeopleSoft software, isn't it?

I googled it and just read that too. You are probably right that it is just a general update.

Isn't EmplID also used by schools to identify student identification numbers? I googled it also and came up with a number of schools that use it for their students.

It is, but it could have been from when they originally entered our applications into their system before the decision was made. It looks like each school uses them a little bit differently from what I saw so I guess we won't know until we know! Have you heard from San Marcos yet Phyrum? I have a friend who applied there, but I haven't heard anything from her yet either. I just can't believe that they wait until so close to the start date to notify people for all of these ABSN programs!

Unfortunately I haven't. I never even received anything from San Marcos regarding my pre-admission advising so I am not sure if they even received my final transcripts! Oh well though, San Marcos isn't my first choice, I would rather go through Oklahoma's program. I calculated that San Marcos' program would be 20 months total including this fall (the nursing portion doesn't really start until Spring '09) versus OU's 14 month program. I think other people have already received their acceptances though. The anticipation for OU is killing me! And probably killing everyone else too.

Well good luck! Hopefully we'll know tomorrow!
