Are there any Oklahoma ABSN students out there?

I would like some information on the program, how do you like it? Would you pick this school again if you had the chance? I am applying to the program that is being held here in San Diego. I am nervous about the online portion of the program, is it do-able? :uhoh3:

Hi! I'm not sure. Has anyone found out if they have been accepted for the August start date?

Hi! I have not found out yet but I heard we will get an e-mail and a letter in the mail, sometime around mid July. I'm so ready to find out so I can plan my life accordingly :nurse: I did get all my financial aid stuff straightened out, which is a relief.

Yeah I don't think anyone has received a formal acceptance yet. I hate waiting! I want to start planning my life too! It sucks not knowing what the schedule is gonna be like. I did my finaid stuff too-I already sent in my MPN to my lender so I should be good to go with that. I'm only accepted the subsidized loan...the rest I'm borrowing from my family so I don't have to worry about that scary variable interest rate private loan.

Are either of you still in the process of taking prereq's? I just noticed that after this last application deadline, they are only accepting applications from people who have finished. I am in the process of taking my last 2 science classes A&P I and II, that will finish on August 4th. Do you think that will jeopordize my chance of being accepted? I sure hope not! I hate this nervous feeling!

I have a question for those that are currently in the program. Do you guys feel like you have at least one day a week, or even a month, where you aren't studying and can just take a break and relax? Or, do you feel like you are studying non-stop? I am hoping to have at least one day a week where I can at least take a little break from studying and do something fun, that is, if I get accepted for Fall. I am nervous! Thanks!!

Depending on the week's assignments dictates whether or not I can take a break. So far (I'm going into my 7th week) I have been able to get stuff done early and relax completely on Sundays which has been awesome. Also, I try to get my work done during the day and at 7pm I try my best to just relax and watch tv. But this week and next week I don't see that it will be possible because there is just sooooo much work to do. It really depends on your time management too. I was hoping to like get away some weekend or something but I don't think that will be feasible. Its a ton of work but it will be worth it! I feel like I have learned soooo much already and we've barely just begun.

Thanks wannabe! At least the program sounds doable since you are able to manage your time enough to have Sunday off. Good luck in the program, sounds like you are doing great so far!

When I check my application status it says EMPLID next to my name now...? Anyone else? I know I am definitely reading WAY too much into everything but it is a change. Let me know!

Mine had just had my name then the number right underneath it. The emplid part is new. It probably doesn't mean anything, I'm just very anxious to know!
