Depends on what you mean by badly, and it also depends on how thin-skinned you are as to how you perceive what "badly" is--

Yes, some do, but a lot don't.

they don't treat me as badly as my abusive second husband does that asnwer the question?

although i'd heard that docs were nasty, i haven't found that to be true at all!

I find that nurses treat other nurses worse than anyone else.

No, not necessarily.

Our docs are for the most part great.

sometimes, yes. in general, though, if you don't allow yourself to be treated badly, you won't be.

Only as bad as you allow yourself to be treated. And that is the same in any profession.

No, not at all! I am lucky to be at a small hospital where I get to work with some really wonderful Dr's. It's sort of like a big family there - very enjoyable work atmosphere.

Sometimes we have cultural problems with some of the docs from the Middle East who don't like to have a female question them. They eventually get over it after we get on them about it. We have a few tempermental ones, but for the most part, all the docs, surgeons included, listen to us and respect us. The one we have the most problems with is the opthamolgist..he is just a jerk.

I find the nurses can treat eachother very poorly, haven't had trouble with physicians as of yet. Managers also can be very demanding, unappreciative and unreasonable with their expectations of us as human beings. Schedulers can be outright rude.

I don't think so in general but I've got one nasty doc in my area whom most nurses and even the babies' parents find her offensive. We do get nasty feedback from the parents and I even that heard she had scolded some nurses " brainless ". Personally I haven't experience such nasty remarks but I do know that she has mood swings.
