hi belinda, i too had wishes before we came to the states which was to have a house with a pool in some nice american suburb,,,,and we didnt get it.
we got a beachfront condo with the turquoise blue sea as our garden and 18 months of living in the carribean with wondeful weather all year round. going to the beach whenever we wanted, and feeling like it was one long holiday. now we are back to reality, we are living in some nice american suburb and having a house built with a pool.
sucks doesnt it?
we must meet when you get here, i lived in cwmbran for a long time, not too far from you.

god you have had it hard i never know how you struggled throught yep meeting up would be great your place i think with that lovely pool.......
only problem is that the house with the pool wont be built until next april or may, and hopefully you will be out here before then. we are moving next week into our own house, a small one with no pool. but you will all be welcome anyway. you will meet madwife and betty boop at the same time as we will all be here, we are making our own community of allnurses exiles from the uk.
Hope it is all sorted soon, atleast there will be a few of us there Not sure yet where we will be living but plan on it having a pool.
If only DH hadn't changed his mind at the beginning of the new year as we should be on our way there instead of restarting the process all over again... well atleast I don't have to go through CGFNS again and passed NCLEX :chuckle

It has been a long road to relocation to the US and hopefully we are nearly there.
What are my expectations of our new life.
I have three small boys and a georgeous hubby and in the UK we never go to the pub in the evening and can only really afford one holiday a year this year we went to spain costa lotta as the DH calls it any way holiday was ruined by the drunken british who have over taken the costa but that is enough of that... The rest of our summer has been spent in our tent in uk getting wet.
Back to my expectations I hope to have a nice house with in pool in the garden which the boys will be able to use for at least six months. Be able to eat our dinner out side some evenings. Be able to take our children to eat out in good family friendly places. Able to drive to a ski resort of at least three long weekends a year and a few other long weekends exploring as to work me and DH want to work to live not live to work are these too high.....
