Hello!
First time user! I was wondering if there was anyone applying for NU cohort 49. This would be my second time applying for this program and I have been wondering if this would be a good time or when it would be good to apply again. The cohort I applied for was very competitive, the cut-off was 89 points!! Normally it's at about 82-83 points I believe. My final score was 80.7. I am interested in retaking my TEAS since I scored an 80% the first time to raise my score.
I would like to know applicants gpa and teas score if they've already taken it.
Excited to hear from you 😃
You all have a much higher chance of getting in then I do. I have a 3.76 GPA, and scored a 71% on the TEAS. I took it at NU on 8/12. I'm pretty positive I didn't get in considering my TEAS score. I'm a strong writer but the essay only accounts for 20% of our total points. I spoke with Erica a few different times, and our essays were sent out maybe two weeks ago. She told me the middle to end of this month (September) is when we'd hear back on our essay scores, since they allow up to four weeks for them to be graded. The suspense is killing me. I know my chances are slim but, I still have a small amount of hope.
I was under the impression that is you were denied one cohort you had to skip the next one? But maybe i have been misinformed.A 4/5 is good! I am not too worried about the essay portion.
I have the ATI TEAS Study Book and I have read/studied it front to back. Prior to studying at all i took the practice exam you can buy online and I scored a 80%. I am hoping to score in the high 80s on the exam to be in a comfortable spot with points..
Hey,
I talked to Erica, our admittance or denials will be out before the deadline to apply for Cohort50. I called and spoke with her two weeks ago to make sure. My TEAS score wasn't as high as I hoped and I'm almost positive I'll have to re-take it.
motuofm I believe they don't give extra points for any health care experiences. Applicants' points are based solely of their Science and Math GPA, TEAS, and Essay.
For the average score of the essay, the lady said that we won't really find out our score until the decision of admission is made. So I'm assuming we won't really know the average after the 16th of Sept.
Hi guys I'm applied to the LVN to BSN program at NU and I think this would be the cohort I'd be joining after for guys finish the 2 semester. Just really hoping to get in.. I took my TEAS and got an 80% I also have a 3.6 GPA. I'm scheduled to take the essay on tomorrow. I want to be accepted so bad! The suspense is killing me! I hope I have a chanceí ½í¸«

I remember her saying the graders had 4 weeks to score the essays? And they can provide essay scores (and total score) only after their decision was issued.
