Well, I feel like an idiot now. It didn't even occur to me that it was a typo! Maybe potential employers can detect a lack of common sense and that is why they've got no interest in me. But, I did point it out to some friends and none of them made that assumption. So at least I'm not alone in my idiocy.
23 years???? 2 TO 3, my dear. But pretty funny typo, for sure. Unless they have a very specific nurse in mind for the position who has 23 years of experience......
Probably a typo since "23" and "2-3" is an easy mistake. Though I HAVE seen some pretty random requirments for jobs that are clearly reserved for someone. I saw a position that required 15 years exp as an NP in community/geriatric health once--not likely to be a mistake for "1-5"--and not so many folk will fit that criteria.
But I think in your case you're probably good to go--if you have 2-3 years exp, that is :)

This has gone beyond ridiculous. I have been searching my heart out for a new job, and am of course not alone in the fact that I have received not one interview, let alone offer. Today in my fruitless search, I came across a position that stated a requirement of "not less than 23 years experience" in..... COME ON!! Where did that number even come from? and since when can employers require that kind of experience? Oh yeah, since now. I'm screwed.
