Hello everyone. I wanted to start a discussion for people who have applied to ARC , SCC, or both for the fall 2017 class. Applications for both schools are due at the end of the month. I applied for both, praying I get excepted. Anyhow, say hello and stay in touch with updates, info. Etc....
My SCC status has not changed. Still "received." The SCC flow chart shows the status will not change unless accepted to program. First time applying so I dont know if that is accurate. My ARC status has changed to "Qualified."
Yeah, ARC said it wouldn't change in the flowchart either, but the status did change. So I'm sure SCC will change to qualified if we are qualified, regardless if we get accepted or not. For ARC last semester (my first time applying), I didn't get qualified till October 25th (the deadline was Sept. 31st). We found out November 11th, I think it was, if we got selected. So ARC did send out rejection letters.
Thanks! I really hope this is the round. Last round both of my friends got in (first try) and I didn't so I was extra bummed. Although I would've been anyway. But I knew when they got in that I didn't because I would've also had something and didn't. I also applied to Delta so we will see. Good luck!
First time applying for me! I applied to SCC, ARC, Sierra and several other schools. I knew going into this how impacted nursing programs are in CA so I figured I'd apply to many schools to hopefully help my chances in getting selected. I keep hearing horror stories about students waiting up to 7 semesters to get into a program. I hope that's not the case for me and I wish you all the best of luck as well.
Ive heard nothing yet from ARC or SCC. I am a little worried about SCC because I did not put my application in an envelope. Everyone ive talked to said they used an envelope. My cover page instructions specifically said use an envelope if mailing, but did not mentioin an envelope for hand delivery. I wrote SCC and they said that they corrected the cover pages after a few days to call for an envelope, and my application "should" be fine since I had first draft cover page! not very reassuring....
