APU 2+2 Nursing Spring 2021

Published

Hello,

Anyone else apply for APU's Spring 2021 nursing program? I got an email the other day regarding more locations for the 2+2 program. I'm hoping that means more students will be accepted. This is my third time applying, so I am really hoping my third time is the charm!

Thank you so much for all the info! Ya, I heard about the cutting hours to part time. That’s tough financially, but probably better for us mentally! Do you know if we will be doing clinicals at all?

We are doing lab. No clinicals. However, I was told that the lab component may be on campus depending if they don't lock us down again. I guess they will discuss all of that information on the 7th.

Oh okay, I think I am in cohort 2 also in IE area, but the email I got had a pdf on how to register for classes and another pdf with a list of classes for semester 1. I hope I didn't register before I was supposed to! I haven't finished the list yet either. It is a LOT to do

Great I'm also in cohort 2 after asking around and clearing the confusion. I did see that there were alot of attachments afterwards I didn't finish scrolling all the way down because I thought that was all the info. Regarding the classes to register for which ones did you alrdy register for? In the attachment schedule for semester 1 is that the classes we register for?

Yes, register for the classes that are listed under semester 1. :)

Anyone else having trouble enrolling into the classes listed in the attachment? Also who has registered? Im getting different info from different people. My program Hannah Peacock representative is telling me to wait until registration to be registered. I just want to make sure I do everything in time.

I emailed my program representative and I was too told to wait. They will address everything orientation day!

I went ahead and enrolled. One of the classes wouldn't go through because the time is wrong. I emailed Melisa Aguilar (who I got the orientation details email from) stating the time was wrong and it wouldn't allow me to enroll and she said she would fix it. She didn't say I shouldn't have enrolled yet or anything.

Regarding our scrubs it ask for a clinical start date to continue with our order what did everyone select? Is it our instruction date Jan 11th?

I chose the last date it said (January 28th) because it aligned with the December 7th deadline they previously stated.

Would anyone who was accepted like to make a group me to ask questions and such during this process?

Anyone have update on funding for the program ?? Is it all loans?

I wish I had an update to share with you ☺️ most of us that applied to the 2+2 still don’t know our admission status ?

Same here I still haven't heard anything as well. I honestly feel anxious about not knowing if its either a yes or no. I applied to the LVN to BSN program and expect to hear something by today knowing that  the orientation is scheduled for Dec 7. We'll just have to see what happens. Patience! I keep asking for Patience! We have to keep in mind that whatever happens is what is meant to happen we just have to keep pushing forward.

I havent heard back either. Especially with things needing to be done ahead of starting with uniforms, testing and loans. My anxiety is high waiting so I can make my next move.
