APU 2+2 Nursing Spring 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello,

Anyone else apply for APU's Spring 2021 nursing program? I got an email the other day regarding more locations for the 2+2 program. I'm hoping that means more students will be accepted. This is my third time applying, so I am really hoping my third time is the charm!

Same here I was emailed to set up an APU account about a month ago but nothing has changed on my portal either.

Have you tried making the APU account and checking your application status on that website?

I haven't got an email regarding which courses to take as they are still finalizing my cohort which is 32 in the IE area. I don't think I can move forward untill then send me that info. Also has anyone completed the list they sent out for the orientation to have done before the orientation? I'm trying to figure out where to buy the uniforms as well as my ID card. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Oh okay, I think I am in cohort 2 also in IE area, but the email I got had a pdf on how to register for classes and another pdf with a list of classes for semester 1. I hope I didn't register before I was supposed to! I haven't finished the list yet either. It is a LOT to do

I was accepted on the 23rd. I was sent an orientation RSVP and a financial aid meeting RSVP but I haven't received any other info. I was accepted to the high desert campus, so I don't know if maybe they're just slow getting the info out to us. But the finance aspect of this whole thing is a little overwhelming.

I was able to set up my APU account and I log in to the dashboard but it doesn’t say anything regarding my admission status. Sounds like some students who already got accepted will be attending orientation next week. That’s awesome!
I just don’t understand why they don’t notify everyone at the same time like most programs do. That way if we don’t get in we can see what’s next for us.

With more people saying they are accepted my chances are looking slim. On the upside congrats to all of you that have been admitted!

Also, did your email have a bunch of attachments? That's where I figured out where to get uniforms and ID

They should be able to help you get your ID card but you go through the APU website. Uniforms are special ordered through Dove and they should provide a link for that in orientation. As far as loans and scholarships, the financial aid department will go over options with you of how to apply for certain things. Make sure you fill out your fasfa as well! Don’t worry. They don’t leave you hanging. ?

I am in HD as well and I have not received it either. My co-worker got into the IE campus and she got all the information. Yes, financially speaking it is overwhelming. They want you to pay for a background check, physical exam, TB test, make sure you have a current CPR card and if we want to test out of Pharmacology or Nutrition, it is 100 bux a piece. You don't have to test out of both tests now. You can do Pharm first, then Nut. Also, I was told by my rep that we can not work full time. That we need to cut our hours to part time. Supposedly we will be going Tues and Thursdays all day and Friday 8:30am-11:00am. Hope this information helps.

Anyone else feeling a bit ovewhelmed?! hahaha. This is what we wanted. To start the program right?! We got this. It'll be okay.

Thank you so much for all the info! Ya, I heard about the cutting hours to part time. That’s tough financially, but probably better for us mentally! Do you know if we will be doing clinicals at all?

Hi everyone, I thought I was the only one completely overwhelmed with the email that contained all the information. Do we have to complete it all before orientation? Who’s also at inland empire campus!?
