APU ELM Summer 2018

Hi Everyone!

I don't see a thread for prospective students for Azusa Pacific University's ELM program for the Summer 2018 so I decided to start one.

I am Iliana and I submitted my completed application back in May. As the deadline approaches July 1st, I hope we can support each other and update one another as we move through the process of applying, interviewing, and getting admitted!

I've been reading the Spring 2018 APU ELM thread for a couple weeks now trying to get info about application experiences and those who were accepted. I applied to the SD campus and started my application mid May and now have a completed submission. July 1st is rolling around really quickly and just thinking about all of this makes me so nervous!

Thank you for starting this thread. Have you heard from your rep since your application was deemed complete?

Hi @futrnurseam, I'm glad you found this post. I have been doing the same these past couple of months. I kept searching for a summer 2018 post but never came across one.

I feel the same way, especially having turned in my application a month ahead. I'm anxious to hear back. I haven't heard from my rep since then. Have you? I'm thinking after July 1st we should begin hearing something.

I haven't heard anything since I received notice that my application was complete. I have the same idea as you and hopefully after the 1st of July we will start to hear from our reps for an interview! I'm hoping and praying!

UPDATE: I followed up with the rep and it looks like they extended the deadline another week - July 7th.

Was it extended for all campuses? Maybe that's good news news for those who applied, like maybe there are less applicants. :)

He wasn't specific, but I'm guessing for all campuses. That was my initial thought. I did ask if it was because of not enough applicants though, he said due to the holiday they wanted to be fair to the applicants and recommenders.

They extended the deadline! How nice of them!

I read the other threads and apparently they have a point system. My overall gpa wasn't top notch from my BA with a 2.99 so I'm hoping the other categories weigh in more.

What's everyone aiming to specialize in? And what did you all get your degree in before? I love that we all have this in common (previous study in a different field and plans to get a master's)

Hi everyone!

This is my first time posting on here. I submitted my application for the SD campus on June 22nd, and I just got a call from Azusa today for an interview next Thursday!! I am so excited and I hope you all get a call soon as well í ½í¸Š
