APU ELM MSN Spring 2021

Hello,

just starting a forum thread so all applicants or future applicants can communicate with each other regarding the application.

I have applied to Azusa Pacific ELM program for Spring 2021 at the Inland Empire. I have not gotten an interview yet but hopefully soon, fingers crossed. Anyone gotten a response yet?

@Sieldani you listed your school location preferences on the application and they asked me which school I preferred when I interviewed

Hi @scarf, I was also admitted to a later term of Summer 2021. It is rather strange that they’re placing you in two cohorts after the one you’ve applied for. But I’m guessing once spots fill up in each cohort they designate a number spaces in future cohorts to place some applicants. I read in a previous post that someone was placed in a later cohort but was on waitlist for an earlier one. I’m sure your admission counselor will clear all this up for you tomorrow, though. Fingers crossed for you!!

Just got denied from Azusa for the SD campus for a second time I really thought the second time I would get in because of my persistence and I thought I was already so close to getting in the first time

I know it is easier said than done but don’t give up! Maybe try applying to different schools? I also applied to the SD campus but haven’t heard from them yet. At this point I’m expecting a rejection and will be applying to ABSN programs as well. How did they contact you to let you know?

I emailed them asking when we would be hearing because I was curious and then they sent me a picture with my decision letter . I got into an absn program for fall 2020 cal state Fullerton but not sure If I should do an absn or elmsn I have heard such mixed things

Hi everyone! CONGRATS to those who were able to get in. I was also denied admission. It was my first time applying to the main and IE. However, I have to say that I really thought I had a shot. I have to say that I’ve been doing a lot of research about this program, and I personally know people who were accepted and went through their ELM program. Truly, I have to say that I am not sure what their selection criteria is. I know that their program has gotten extremely competitive and selective. But, at the same time I know people who were accepted with mediocre grades and no healthcare experience within the first try. I also heard people with excellent academics who were denied 2-3 times. I am not sure what the happy medium is. I thought it was the interview, but again I thought my interview went quite well. Not sure if I’ll reapply.

I couldn’t agree more it’s so confusing as to how these schools admit and sometimes it’s just so frustrating to feel so in the dark with it All. Did u apply to other schools?

I haven’t since I really thought I would get in. But I will be applying to ABSN and other ELM programs. I just feel bad I lost so much time. I submitted my application back in November, and I got the decision just now. I am sure someone will give us a shot though. Azusa does not provide direct feedback. They just say it’s competitive. Competitive how I am not sure. I’d just apply everywhere at this point..
