APU ELM Fall 2015

Published

Hello!

I thought I'd get this thread started :)

I'm in the process of applying to APU and was wondering how everyone is doing with their applications.

Has anyone gone through the advising session yet?

@SoCalCNA: That's a little odd. I wonder if there is a way to give our answers later if we were to get accepted in order to see what our options are.

I went to the NU info session and I have their point system written down. Also, my friend who is applying with a bunch of community colleges has their point system that she got directly from them. However, Azusa is its own school and has its own system, so I wouldn't go off of what other schools do...If they look at our GPA, interview, volunteer/work experience, overall application, recommendation letters, letter to the dean etc., then GPA seems the only 'number' to work with? I really wouldn't know! I think they're looking for quite high GPAs in general... Otherwise, it's just all wait and see until they call/write us! :sarcastic:

What other schools are you guys applying to?

hey guys,

so I went to the info session this past week in monrovia, I had spoken with VFD and P and they said theyre still conducting interviews and that one of the grad admissions rep had already left for another job. overall, theyre really nice very informative ? I notice a couple of us are applying to the same programs? is APU your top choice?

I was told that the admissions committee would be meeting mid December and making decisions then. I too have been to the information session and it was very helpful! APU is my top choice! What about you missliliposh?

Hey, how did you guys find out about the info sessions? I've been looking on their ELM website but can't seen to locate any information. I know I'm probably just overlooking it, just curious. Thanks!

JazzyP

I just PMed you :-)

Polo goalie I don't think the info sessions are on the website, just call them and they'll tell you when they are!

@pologoalie,

Similar to what JazzyP had mentioned, they would usually email you an info session date, I received an email on November 10th for the Monrovia Info Session on November 11th, so more than likely they occur every month and you should be receiving an email

JazzieP & Missliliposh

Thank you both for the information!

In Monrovia it is the first Tuesday or Thursday of each month, in San Diego I believe the next info session is December 4th.

hey yall,

I got some good news. First and foremost Happy Thanksgiving and Black Friday to everyone and Second , I just received a call from the grad admissions to schedule my interview this coming wednesday at SD campus. Thank you all for being so positive and I hope we can all get admitted and get through the program together. I will let you guys know how my interview goes :-)
