I think the previous answer covers a lot of good points...I think volunteering is a major requirement for many programs and that C could definitely be improved. Do you have to take the TEAS test for any of these programs? While you are waiting to re-apply, can you get a job as a CNA? I know of many courses that only take a month. That way, you could get a job fast and already be in the health care industry! You are also still VERY young, so take your time to make your application the best it can be! Have you looked at relocating? I don't know where you are, but when you say that there is only one LVN school, I can imagine there aren't that many RN programs to apply for either. Maybe expand your horizon?

Hi! I am starting to get nervous I guess! I do have a plan B, but I sure am hoping I won't need to go that route. I really hope they will let us know soon after they have their meeting...Christmas will be much more relaxing, whether accepted or not. At least we'll know. Wow I was just checking out this thread to see how long it would approximately take to hear after applying (cohort 42). I'm shocked! You guys are supposed to start in January? I do know they were evaluated by the nursing board and they added on all these new prereq courses and changed the outline of the program. Seems like you, and probably those in cohort 42, are right in the middle of this all. I hope you guys will hear soon, and I hope National kept its accreditation..

Hey everyone, I applied for cohort 42 also and just took the TEAS yesterday...They give you your scores immediately and combined with your GPA, I think we should pretty much know out 'standing', right?

I went to the NU info session and I have their point system written down. Also, my friend who is applying with a bunch of community colleges has their point system that she got directly from them. However, Azusa is its own school and has its own system, so I wouldn't go off of what other schools do...If they look at our GPA, interview, volunteer/work experience, overall application, recommendation letters, letter to the dean etc., then GPA seems the only 'number' to work with? I really wouldn't know! I think they're looking for quite high GPAs in general... Otherwise, it's just all wait and see until they call/write us!

@misslilposh: If I were you, I'd start calling by the end of November because I was told that the board will meet before mid-December to start making decisions...maybe they do still interview after that date, but if they don't, then I'd want to make sure I'm being taken into consideration before that date. Maybe they don't interview everyone (?), but I'd still like to make sure. However, maybe they are postponing the board meeting to allow for more time to interview everyone, which is why some are told we will only know by mid-January. The only way to find out is to call or email them! @xochrlstinaxo: I am curious about their point system, but have no idea how they really do it. I get the idea they don't really tell applicants? I also didn't ask during the interview..Most schools publish their point system. Are you applying for any other programs? That deposit question is a really good question...I won't find out about other schools until late February I believe...

Yeah it is! The interview is very relaxed and the professor is the nicest lady. I wouldn't worry. Just be yourself and ask every question you may have about the program. Did you also apply for the SD campus?
