Hi everyone! I am so happy and sad at the same time to see this thread has so many comments! I didn't get any notifications and when I was checking in the first few weeks I posted it, there was nothing! So excited to not be alone! I have been patiently waiting now for 3 years to apply so I am super eager. I am thinking by the notifications from last years threads that we should hear back in just about 2 weeks. Last year the board met and sent emails and letters out the next day. Fingers crossed for all of you! Is anyone actually from LA or the IE? I am from where the main campus is, Monrovia and I went to college at UC Riverside so I am happy to go back home, finally! Really excited to see you all and hope to keep in touch as the application process finishes up!

Hi Penny23! Finally someone found this thread...I think that this is generally a smaller applicant pool than the fall and spring classes so maybe that is good for us? I Also went through the advising session but have not heard anything yet. Is this the first program you are applying to? It is the first application I have submitted and my first choice so it is a bit of pressure!

Yes! I think the summer cycle has fewer applicants so that might be why there is so little activity on the thread. I had my interview on the phone since I also do not live in the United States. Keep me posted after you have your interview and if/when you hear back about acceptance! The waiting is already killing me!

Hi Mandy! Did you apply for Fall 2014? I applied for Summer 2015 and had my interview. It is very informal. It is mostly informational about the program, school and financial aid. The writing sample was really easy! Don't be stressed about it. From what I understand on these forums, it is mostly to ensure that you wrote your own Letter to the Dean. They have apparently had issues in the past with students turning in things they did not write so they do this to compare the styles. I think it has very little to do with your application as a whole. I am surprised you are getting an interview so close to the Fall if that is the term you applied for? Good luck! Don't be stressed about it!

I agree...it seems like there is not interest to actually explain what she means and I assume if she was genuinly trying to encourage us to look elsewhere, she would explain why. I began my undergrad at APU and absolutely loved my short time there. Although I did not finish my degree there, it was a great school. How was the work load for you? Did you work at all in addition to the program? Would be happy to hear more about the program!

Are you a current student? I would appreciate more information on where you are coming from as APU is my first choice program. Thanks!

Hello! I don't see a thread for prospective students for Azusa Pacific University's ELM program for the Summer 2015 start so I decided to start one. I am Vanessa and I am just about to send in my complete application packet this week. I am early though since the deadline is not until 1 July. I hope we can support each other and update each other as we move through the process of applying/interviewing/admittance! Looking forward to meeting you all!

Hi everyone! Congratulations on getting in! I am so excited to be finishing up my application to apply for the Summer of 2015 (May start). I am wondering how early I should submit my application? The deadline is July 1 but I was going to be sending it late May. Is this too late? It seems like many people apply and end up getting admitted for earlier terms. I am worried about the interview! It seems like not everyone even went through that part? Mine would be a phone interview as I currently live in Germany. I would love any feedback anyone has! How early is too early to apply? I am pretty much just polishing at this point so I suppose I could send in my application now, however I would not be able to come for an earlier term if admitted and I don't want to turn it down either. Any advice is appreciated, and again, CONGRATULATIONS!
