APU ELM Fall 2015

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello!

I thought I'd get this thread started :)

I'm in the process of applying to APU and was wondering how everyone is doing with their applications.

Has anyone gone through the advising session yet?

Congratulations jhc12! I'm still waiting to hear from the Monrovia location. What'd the e-mail say? When do you have to let them know whether you will be attending or not?

Does anyone know how many people were interviewed for each location? I'm scared :(

xochrIstinaxo - When I interviewed at Monrovia, the one that interviewed me said she had already interviewed "150 qualified candidates." She also mentioned she's been interviewing since September.

Congrats jhc12! And good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back!

eek! well that's not good =\ I didn't know it was so competitive even after you get an interview

Thank you to both! xochrlstinaxo, the content of the email that I received will probably differ from others' since I'm considered an international student. It outlined some additional paperwork required, contact info for my financial advisor, and a note that the official admission letter will be sent via mail within 5-7 days and a packet from the nursing department within 7-10 days. I was surprised to find no information regarding the deposit (which I'm guessing will come soon).

Just fyi, I submitted my application on the last day, was interviewed on 11/20, and received my acceptance email today (12/15). Perhaps decision times differ for each campus?

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

jhc1 - Is San Diego your first choice? When they interviewed me, I told them I didn't have a preference, so I'm not sure if that really affects anything.

I wonder if anyone else has heard back, I've been checking my email every hour. :nailbiting:

@coycoy22 I heard they call you but because, @jhc1 was an international student, maybe the process is different .

I keep checking my email and this board, too. I don't even know what I'm looking for nor when to expect it lol

I'm one of those people who just keeps themselves busy. Right now I'm pretending nothing is going on and hoping for a happy surprise! Just breath, there's a light at the end of the tunnel! We've all worked our butts off, and it's out of our hands at this point. Good luck to all of you, hopefully we'll all be getting an early Christmas present! :)

I know what you guys mean. I'm the same way. I'm even looking forward to someone else saying they've been accepted to the Monrovia campus. I just want to be happy for someone haha. Hopefully they let us know really soon.

I've heard from various people that they had the largest applicant pool ever this year, so I'm sure they'll let us know as soon as possible, and with the holidays right around the corner, I'm sure they're swamped! :)

Nothing today either *sigh*
