Per the request of janina08 I've started the April NCLEX takers support group. When do you take it? What are you using to study? Would anyone like to review any of the systems/meds that he/she feels weakest on? Let's keep each other in our prayers and good thoughts as we go through one of the biggest experiences of our lives. :)
i would like to share this to you my april family!!!
being a nurse means…..
you will never be bored
you will always be frustrated
you will be surrounded by challenges
you will carry enormous responsibility and very little authority
you will step into people’s lives…
and you will make a difference
some will bless you
some will curse you
you will see people at their worst …
and at their best
you will never cease to be amazed at people’s capacity for love, courage and endurance
you will see life begin …and end
you will experience resounding triumphs and devastating failures
you will cry a lot
you will laugh a lot
[font=times new roman]you will know what it is to be human
and humane

I have a question for all those who have taken the NCLEX....I took mine in May, but I was originally rescheduled (twice) for April, therefore I belong to both groups, lol
Seriously though, my friend took her nclex last week the same day I did....and she is bugging out....she didnt get simple, short/concise questions like I did....She got freakin' case studies, and paragraphs of questions. Has anyone else run into this too? So far I cant find one person who has.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
can you pls help me.. how to start in applying nclex exam. where do i get application forms and requirements for texas or new jersy... pls pls help..
it will be best if you visit Texas/NJ Board of Nursing website since each state has different requirements...

hmmm. that's a good question. to be honest, my exam didn't really consist of paragraphs per se. i had some long questions, but most were short and to the point. in fact, they were very similar to the kaplan questions. i honestly can't say what that means for your friend, unless they were the higher level questions in which she really needed to find and know the stem of the question.
A student nurse enters the patient's room wearing gown, gloves and mask. The nurse determines that the right precaution is being done if the student cares for w/c of the ff patients?
1. Toxic Shock Syndrome
2. Rubella
I still get confused with what to wear for standard precautions. Contact precaution is easy to remember and understand though.
Answer is B. It's my understanding that since Rubella spreads through droplets, gloves and gowns are not needed right? Correct me if I'm mistaken. Thanks!
