Hi Everyone,
The buzz, as we all know, is that the exam is going to have a higher passing standard as of today. However, I also read that the questions will be revised for clarity, which sounds good to me. It would be so helpful if those who take the new version of the NCLEX-PN exam would please post your thoughts about the test here, after you take it. Please let us know how the test has changed (more alternate format? Higher level of difficulty?). Also, which books, cd's or study guides/programs were most like the actual exam or most helpful. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!! :) Thanks!

I actually took the new version so they say yesterday 4-1-11 it was my 3rd attempt and according to the pvt trick i PASSED this time.Yes i tried the pvt trick the other times and took me to cc page... First off i got all 205??? and most where select all that apply and infection control.... no math couple drugs bactrim, but like i said most was select all that apply..... I left out of there thinking oh no i failed again got alll 205?? Well PVT tells me cant re- register and VA does not participate in quick view results so i will have to call them on monday since my test was friday. I was a little nervous because it was the new test and 3rd time taking it but really if you go to the NCSBN website they just changed the percentage's around... Well How did i do it....

Hi bhodge,
Do you have or Is there a web link or a PDF copy of Lacharity Prioritization Book. I'm using Saunder's 4/ed & Kaplan's PN strategies. I'm taking mine 4/29 & i'm major stressing.
Thank you for your help.

I'm terrified about the sata questions. I wanted to take it before the change but there were no available appointments so now I'm taking it on the 23rd and attending a review class until then, I will definitely report back afterwards.

Unless someone tested with the prior test as well as the new version, they would have no basis for comparison. Does not matter anyway because one can only take the exam as it is presented at the time the person tests. That is why one should not procrastinate with their plans to test.
Those who have seen the new test first-hand can let us know which review books/courses are still relevant, as many new editions will not be available for awhile. This information will be very helpful to those of us concerned about the change in the test and how best to prepare using currently available resources. Also, there will be those who have taken the previous version as well as the new test, and their feedback will be of great value as well. Thank you to all who contribute to this thread with your feedback! Please keep sharing your thoughts about the April 2011 test! :)
Hi bobkat1065,
How did your test go? What was it like? Were there many alternate format/SATA? Hope all went great!
