April NCLEX-PN Takers: Please Post Your Thoughts

Published

Hi Everyone,

The buzz, as we all know, is that the exam is going to have a higher passing standard as of today. However, I also read that the questions will be revised for clarity, which sounds good to me. It would be so helpful if those who take the new version of the NCLEX-PN exam would please post your thoughts about the test here, after you take it. Please let us know how the test has changed (more alternate format? Higher level of difficulty?). Also, which books, cd's or study guides/programs were most like the actual exam or most helpful. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!! :) Thanks!

Got my results this morning and I am officially a Licensed Practical Nurse YAY!!!!! Good luck to all the future test takers.:nurse:

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you!!!!!! Thanks for everything!!!!!!! N keep us n your prayers!!!!!!!! :yeah:

I definitely will keep everyone in my prayers. When do u test Mercedes SPN?

I have it scheduled for June 21, but I really want to hurry up and get it out of the way but OMG my

Nerves are just killing me I'm almost done studying my core out of hurst, I figured after that do questions for a week or two and go for what I kno!!! But everytime I think about it I feel like crying!!!!!! This is really taking a toll on me because everyone in my family is waiting on it I have a job waiting on me keep calling me n husband is tired of me lolol I kno he is!!!! Screaming!!!!!!!!!! I really want to pass the first time!!!!

Mercedes SPN, I know exactly how u feel. I graduated on March 24th so I waited almost a month but thats because my school was holding on to the paperwork. My nerves was so bad that I was giving myself anxiety attacks.I didnt tell anybody when I was testing because I didnt want the added pressure from other ppl. Just relax and go in there and do it and u will do fine.

Yep that's how it is!!! I'll make sure I'll keep you guys posted!!! CONGRATS again!!

Congrats! THANK YOU for the information it was really helpful...

I took the test on the 15, it was super easy but there was a lot of sata but it was super easy. if there is one thing i would say is STUDY INFECTION CONTROL. All the airborne, droplet and contact. MEMORIZE IT TO THE LETTER! Got my license in the mail yesterday!!!!!!! You will all do awesome!

:ancong!: @msburney @pnky

I still havent gotten my results yet, its been 13days :banghead::banghead::banghead: lol. KEEP ME IN YOUR PRAYERS YOU GUYS :)

JIA, Have you tried the pearson vue trick? It worked for me. I went onto the website for registration and put in all of my info just like I was registering and answered the question if I have taken the exam before as yes and then when it came time to pay it wouldn't let me register and said something along the lines of I need to contact my state agency. You can google it. That's how I figured out how to do it. I hear it works all the time :)

Hey is that la charity book specifically for pn?? What color is it?? I'm having trouble with prioritization, so Im going to get that book.. Help asap... Thanks...

I took the test today. As previously stated, study those safety precautions and infection control info!! My test was FULL of that, prioritization, and teaching. The teaching covered all areas of nursing so there's really no way to be prepared for that. Just know the most important risk factors for diseases. I had a few diet questions, a lot of SATA (maybe 15 or so), 10 medication questions including 3 calculations, 2 drag and drops, and no hot spots or audios. There was a lot of great info posted, I wish I had seen it before I went in! But I got the good pop up from the PVT!

I used my ATI materials and studied my notes.
