Applying to SWIC Fall 2011?

Hello all~

I'm working very hard to see if I can enter SWIC nursing program for Fall 2011. I would like to make of this thread a place where we can give each other support. Right now I'm taking a couple of classes ;Chemistry & Psychology until October and then I start Microbiology, Developmental Psychology, and Sociology until December plus the CNA course in November. I'm going bananas with all the credits and amount of work I'm dealing with. I'm committed to this but I have to confess I'm so scared I will not reach my goal and not have enough points in the end after all the effort. Thank God I can express myself here because I think no one around me understands what I'm going through to make it happen.

Hello EveryOne! I just stumbled upon this post. I got my letter today and I did not make it with 16 points! So I'm not sure what the cut-off was for this year but I imagine it's pretty high. I am so upset I didn't make it, but I'm sure I'll get in next year :crying2:

Hello! I just heard a voice message Mrs. Claudia left me and the cut off this year was 16.5. Again the magic number this year was 16.5...ahhhh. oh well. Let's make it happen happen next year Lauren!

AHHHH! Well Next Year it is! I guess I'll try to retake a couple classes & hopefully get more points on the nursing entrance exam!

Let's be ready to apply again in September!

I'm not sure how being an alternate works, but if those selected do not accept their seats in the program, there will still be spaces left. I know it might be a long shot, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you anyway! You never know!

I sent my acceptance letter back with the 1 page to release information on the background check and the drug test. I already went online and paid for the background check and will go take my drug test Wednesday in Maryville.

Erin, did you have a choice of where to go for the test? With 4 dollar gas, I'd really rather not drive all the way to Maryville if I don't have to...

Hey Everyone! Im in the same boat as all of you... and I do know gas is expensive these days, I was hoping if anyone would like to carpool to get the drug testing done?! I live in Fairview Heights and if you want we can all meet somewhere who ever is interested? Im looking at this Saturday and I am free all day, the earlier the better!

Hi Ladies,

Those of you who have completed your background checks online, did you have to have exact addresses for everywhere you've lived? I have to complete several other states beyond Missouri and Illinois, and remembering the addresses where I've lived will be as fun as trying to find immunization records from childhood! LOL (Who ever thought you'd need this stuff again...I've learned a valuable lesson!)

Has anyone given any thought to which orientation session you will attend?
