Applying to MDC RN Generic Prgm for Fall 08

Stressing! I am applying to MDC RN prgrm for the fall of 08 with a 3.2 and will be taking my last two pre reqs over the summer and GPA will be a 3.5 once i'm done with the summer semester. Not exactly sure how they will decide on whether or not to accept me but I'M TOTALLY ANXIOUS! (have not even turned in my application yet) LoL Someone, ANYONE, pls HELP! There is all this talk about how difficult it is to get into the prgrm and NOW i'm worried i'm not going to get accepted!:uhoh3:

I am excited too!!!!!!!!!! and by times, when I start thinking in what is coming, I get a little worried... I am taking it very easy during this three weeks, we need to relax and enjoy this time before everything starts...

Same here! Taking it in stride. I mean this is going to be a big year for all of us. More then a year! We are half way right now WOW! I mean the most important thing to consider here is that we are finally in nursing school, which means we are right there. Now I have to think about not messing the whole thing up by getting lazy, or just getting lost or something. A little scared.

RIght now I am here doing nothing, watching TV, and enjoying it. I can not wait to see the books! I just want to take a dip into what I am going to be doing now. I can not wait to finish the whole Med-Surg thing. I hear that it is very hard, so I wish I was already finished with that!

Have your nursing classes shown up yet on your MDC student account? My account still doesn't show that I've been registered for any, so I'm just checking if it's the same with you.

I don't see any classes in my MDC account, I remember that she told us that we have to wait and not worry about the classes even if it doesn't show a day before classes start, so I guess it's fine!

I can't wait for orientation @ Jck!! they will explain averything for shure!!! Did you recive the email with date, clothes code and everything????

I have been a wile since I've had days like this, I just wake up and see what time it is!!!!!!!!!!!! very relaxing!!!!!!!!!

Never mind, I just got the email she sent about our class schedules. They're still working on them. Yeah, I got the email about the orientation. I can't wait either! I know what you mean...now that my classes are done for the summer, I just get up and relax for most of the day. Hahaha!!! In a few weeks that won't be happening anymore, so I better enjoy it.:)

Wow reading your posts it seems as though jackson scholars is alot more organized than baptist! MDC told the students whos schedules were dropped that they got in about 2 weeks ago, and baptisit JUST YESTERDAY mailed out the letters. When I called to confirm my acceptance with them, the lady was so rude to me, she seemed bothered that i was even calling her. I'm starting to think twice about my choice...

Tiff, that's the impression I've gotten too after speaking with other people who applied to the Baptist program. With Jackson, I interviewed on the last day they were doing them, and the next day I got an email saying I was accepted.

yeah! the lady from Jackson has been really nice at least with me, and it seems like they are really working in the organisation of every detail, today I received another email about the schedule and orientation...so far, I'm happy with my decision.:heartbeat
