Applicants to Portland area schools 2013

Hello everyone! I was an avid reader of last years articles on applying to schools here, and it really helped me get an idea of how many points I would need. I thought I'd return the favor. So far I've only applied at PCC with 54.5 points (I think). For some reason, I'm not getting any discretionary points at Chemeketa and very few at Mt. Hood, so I might just forgo them this year. Is it just me or are schools going to a model where you can only really have a chance if you take the prereqs there? Anyways, good luck everyone!!!!

I get so excited for everyone when I read these posts! I was there (or should I say here) last year. I am just finishing up my first year at Clackamas...Love it! Hope to see some of you there. Best of Luck to everyone.

I too got my CCC invite today!

Congrats to everyone else who got the invite as well. Also, I'm sending out calming, confident vibes to all of us that have our PCC essays next week. Can't wait to hear how it goes for all of us!

I was accepted into the ABSN program at OHSU for this Fall, so even though I got a CCC invite I will be calling and letting them know that I already have a place :)

Tackled the PCC essay this morning! I was nervous, but it was a fairly comfortable atmosphere. I left with a feeling of discontent however... one of those "just 5 more minutes" kind of things. Still confident nonetheless. Anyone else there at 10:30 today?

Christy24 - I wish my PCC essay was today! Alas, I am scheduled for Thursday morning and am excited to get one more step closer to nursing school.

I have my interview with CCC next Wednesday the 24th and then I sit and wait...and wait...for the results. The waiting is the hardest part :)

I have my PCC essay Friday morning. CCC Interview is next Wednesday the 24th. For those who just did the essay, did PCC mention how many they invited to the essay? I know CCC invites 120.

They invited 204 people to do the proctored essay at PCC, they expect around 180 to show up. They are filling 80 spots.
