  1. Thanks, and yes... see you all Monday!!
  2. I almost forgot to sew a CCC Nursing patch onto my lab coat... does it go on the left sleeve as well?
  3. Thanks for the info... I'm going to look into that as well!
  4. Welcome to the group. Yes, I def think the majority of us are nervous, lol, but also pretty excited! I am very much looking forward to Monday... which, BTW, is the day most ppl will speak with their mentors for the first time. Can't believe it's only 6 days away... pretty pumped!! ~Christy
  5. You can get it right off the shelf if there is plenty available, but some of the popular brands can run low. I am waiting on an order myself.
  6. I submitted my last document on July 1st and received my letter on Friday... not sure if that helps with the timeframe. And as far as scrubs go, I was told there was one near the intersection of the main campus that gives a discount to CCC students, although I don't recall such a place myself. I ended up going to NW Scrubs, but they unfortunately aren't gentle with their prices. Don't forget, sometimes ordering can take 2-3 weeks.
  7. I was having a little difficulty before, but yesterday I received my award letter and have everything cleared up now... very relieved!
  8. It will also give you a chance to find the place that we will be meeting at for our first day... good luck w/ the move!
  9. I've taken all if my prerequisites at CCC, so I know that the new student orientation is geared towards common basics, like financial aid, testing, and advisor information. It gives a good start for the main aspects, but they generally send you to Harmony campus for anything related to nursing.
  10. simplesmile, I just picked up my uniform a few days ago from NW Scrubs in NE Portland. They have a nice variety, although lab coats are generally limited in all stores. Closest to Milwaukie is Life Uniform, but they are in the middle of a transition, and the campus bookstore is always an option. As far as other materials, I am still needing to get books myself. Hopefully I'll be able to do that this week. Looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you with the move and all... you must be so excited though! With only a few weeks left, I'm really excited too... not to mention nervous, lol!
  11. I thought I had recognized one of the members of the group & requested to join, but I might have it all wrong... FB on my phone doesn't show me any details on the location & so I just assumed. I hope that there is one set up though... it's a great way to connect! On another note, is everyone all set for fall start? I'm finishing up some things this week, and am hopefully going to meet with my CCC mentor... looking forward to starting soon! :)
  12. I just checked a minute ago & requested to join "CCC Nursing Class of 2015." Looks like there's already 48 members... better late than never, right?
  13. It's been a while since I hit this thread... but I just wanted to give a big CONGRATS to all who have recently been accepted into Nursing school!!! :)
  14. Does anyone know if there is a Facebook page set for Clackamas nursing students yet?
  15. I haven't gotten my scrubs yet but will most likely buy them at Life Uniform in Clackamas. I like the Grey's Anatomy brand~ good fit & pretty comfortable! So, how is everyone coming along with all their requirements? I still have quite a bit to cover, but looking forward to it. :)
