  1. I love love love the program! It's a different style of learning for sure but the faculty is amazing and feel very supported. I am not sure about the wait list, I was accepted right away in the first group. I do know that some people were accepted days before we began. Good luck!
  2. Hey there, no we weren't told what our final points were after the essay and interview. I can tell you that I had all A's except one B for all of my 45 credits. I also had all of my pre-reqs done before I applied so I got a few extra points there as well as having all three a/p's done with A's. I recommend taking micro before getting into the program because you have to have it completed by the end of fall term, and you don't want to have to take it on top of the nursing classes. Any other questions?
  3. I used this forum as a huge resource as well and now am a student nurse at Clackamas CC. All I can say is I love this program. The faculty is incredible and I am learning so much. One other thing I will mention: imagine how difficult you think nursing school will be and multiply it by ten. It's that hard! But worth it!
  4. If any of you procrastinated on getting scrubs and lab coats like me, NW Scrubs in the Gateway area has a large selection and a huge clearance area. I got three scrub sets and a lab coat, all good comfy brands, and a bp cuff for 100 bucks. For the men out there, there isn't a good selection anywhere, but I found what was comfortable for me, and I will be ordering more like it online.
  5. Whew! You scared me for a minute! I went into a scrub store very quickly about 3 months ago but had to leave, so I never tried them on etc. that is the only thing I have procrastinated on. I plan on going today.
  6. You can't just buy scrubs off the shelves?
  7. I hope I get mine soon! I'm getting worried about buying all of the books. Does anyone remember the name of the scrub store that gives us a discount??
  8. Is anyone else having a difficult time with the financial aid office?
  9. I think that it sounds amazing to me!!
  10. Where did you get that info? Sounds good to me!
  11. I got into CCC and am so excited!! I got into PCC as well, but for me was a no brainer to go with Clackamas! It is a much smaller class size, state of the art building and I have heard from many people (I work for Providence) that the students are much more knowledgable compared to PCC. I can't wait... I just wonder if I am the only guy! Haha!!
  12. Hello Everyone! I just found out that I got accepted at Clackamas Community College for the nursing program this fall! I thought I would start a topic group for all of us, so that we can get to know eachother. I am so excited. I feel that I have worked so hard to get here, and the door was finally opened! A little about me: I am 30, 31 in 2 weeks. I have worked for Providence for almost 7 years, in all different areas, but currently a supervisor in the billing office. I want to go into hospice nursing, at least right now. I can't wait for orientation next month! Jason
