Applicants to Portland area schools 2013

Hello everyone! I was an avid reader of last years articles on applying to schools here, and it really helped me get an idea of how many points I would need. I thought I'd return the favor. So far I've only applied at PCC with 54.5 points (I think). For some reason, I'm not getting any discretionary points at Chemeketa and very few at Mt. Hood, so I might just forgo them this year. Is it just me or are schools going to a model where you can only really have a chance if you take the prereqs there? Anyways, good luck everyone!!!!

Hey @luvcountry09! Did you get into OHSU at WOU? I got the acceptance call Friday and I am looking for fellow students in my cohort for Fall 2013?

@Christy24, I was at the 10:30 on the 16th for PCC! It was a great essay, but I got the call Friday that I was accepted to OHSU so I am going to take that spot. Good Luck!

I got the acceptance call to the OHSU BSN at WOU on Friday! So excited, has anyone else on here heard back? I'm looking for anyone who might be in my cohort (Fall 2013/Class of 2016)!

Finally had my interview at Clackamas this morning! I chose the first time slot available & very thankful I did. Now time for a glass of wine & to relax in the sunshine for a bit.

Thank you! Getting an interview at CCC is a huge step, I was told they didn't give many out! Just out of curiosity did they do a group interview again this year?

Hard work pays off! fingers crossed for everyone this week :) Don't forget to enjoy the sunshine a little, I know I was so nerve racked after all my essays and interviews take a moment to relax!

Today is the big interview day for me at CCC. 9:15am is quickly approaching. Think happy thoughts.

prfoodie: I'm sure you'll do great - I am today at 2:45! Excited to finish this one last step in the application process. I wish I was able to do the morning slot but today is my day to volunteer at my daughter's school, so I'll get to think about it all morning instead! :) Hopefully a bunch of 5 and 6 year olds will be good distraction!

Done with the interview. I have to say, it was not what I expected. The questions they asked were very difficult to answer on the fly. Though I don't really see a way to prepare for what they're going to ask you. Good luck all!!

Finished my CCC interview/essay and the great news for all of us is that CCC plans to make their decisions by May 10th. There is a light at the end of the tunnel! :)
