Hello everyone! I was an avid reader of last years articles on applying to schools here, and it really helped me get an idea of how many points I would need. I thought I'd return the favor. So far I've only applied at PCC with 54.5 points (I think). For some reason, I'm not getting any discretionary points at Chemeketa and very few at Mt. Hood, so I might just forgo them this year. Is it just me or are schools going to a model where you can only really have a chance if you take the prereqs there? Anyways, good luck everyone!!!!
I was in the Monday April 8th interview at 3pm. I want to get to know everyone before we start! It's going to be a long and tough experience so it will be nice to have friends to go through it with! When was your interview? Ill start a page tomorrow or Friday, I feel kind of silly doing that but maybe it will get some of us connected, and everyone can spread the word to one another. Congrats to you too!
ANY OHSU BSN-MONMOUTH 2013 COHORT STUDENTS:
@teemoo12 so I created a Facebook page, if you search 'OHSU School of Nursing-Monmouth BSN Class of 2016' you should be able to find it please share it with everyone you connect with and we can all start getting to know each other before September!
prfoodie: I enjoyed the personal aspect of having an actual interview as opposed to the essay only approach that PCC takes. I appreciate that CCC takes the time to put a name, face, and personality to our applications. How did I do? Not sure (I think well?) but I do know I enjoyed the process. :) If I am so lucky to get accepted to both PCC and CCC, it may be a harder decision between the two than I thought!
What is everyone doing to pass the time these next couple weeks? I am reviewing my A&P and pulled out my medical terminology book from a few terms ago. Kind of liking doing crossword puzzles, keeps my mind active... and it can't hurt to brush up on some of it, right?

@teemoo12 I haven't connected with anyone else yet I hope to find a few on here! I know I couldn't believe it when I got the call, it's taken me 6 years to get to this point I am so excited to learn a ton and make new friends! Have you connected with anyone else, I wish we had the info for people in our cohort so we could start a Facebook page or something before orientation gets here!
