Applicants to Portland area schools 2013

Hello everyone! I was an avid reader of last years articles on applying to schools here, and it really helped me get an idea of how many points I would need. I thought I'd return the favor. So far I've only applied at PCC with 54.5 points (I think). For some reason, I'm not getting any discretionary points at Chemeketa and very few at Mt. Hood, so I might just forgo them this year. Is it just me or are schools going to a model where you can only really have a chance if you take the prereqs there? Anyways, good luck everyone!!!!

They invited 104 people. When I interviewed, they had 93 people RSVP and one no-show at the time; this made the candidate pool 92 people as of April 24.

PoppyandDelia, Looking at last year, you've got a pretty good chance, too! You folks who have gotten accepted at PCC, are you taking the slots or holding out for CCC or other schools?

According to this same thread for last year's applicants, at least #63 on the waitlist was offered a spot. I think your chances are fairly good at #41.

I am not holding any other spots besides mine at PCC :) I applied to MHCC and didnt get in first round so I am feeling lucky to be accepted into the program with no waiting :)

I'm waitlisted. And unfortunately, I'm too far down the line to have hope for this year- 86! As I said, my initial points were pretty low for thinking I would get accepted. This experience has been awesome though... didn't even think I would make it to the essay portion and I did. But what a tease! ;)
