Hello everyone! I was an avid reader of last years articles on applying to schools here, and it really helped me get an idea of how many points I would need. I thought I'd return the favor. So far I've only applied at PCC with 54.5 points (I think). For some reason, I'm not getting any discretionary points at Chemeketa and very few at Mt. Hood, so I might just forgo them this year. Is it just me or are schools going to a model where you can only really have a chance if you take the prereqs there? Anyways, good luck everyone!!!!
hey pcc-sn- whats your class schedule like? I am trying to anticipate child care for my toddler starting fall..... I am all done with any pre requisits and core classes (I have a bachelors already) so just solely nursing classes.....

Curriculum is on page two. Hope this helps!
Hello, all! I got accepted to Lane and to PCC! I know I scared my husband when I started yelling for him when I got the email from PCC, but I'm so excited! A Portland school has been my first choice for a while, because the job market is better for my husband than it is in Eugene. I'm still waiting for Clackamas' email on Friday. I did my prereqs at Lane, so I'm wondering if anyone has input on PCC versus CCC nursing programs. I was impressed by the faculty I met from both schools and if it comes to picking one, I'm not really sure which way to go. I would appreciate any thoughts....
Hey all!
I've watched the thread since getting invited to the proctored essay for PCC. You guys impress me with how much you know about admissions process, so I've glean info from this thread
And I'm excited to share that I got into PCC nursing program!!!! I definitely had tears of joy all day yesterday and feel so grateful to be given the opportunity to pursue my dream :) I can't wait to meet my "cohort" and am hoping there will be a thread for PCC 2013-2015 cohorts so we introduce ourselves a bit over the summer.

Um... what is going on????? Anyone know?
I can't believe this. I take it to mean that some/all of us that received acceptance letters may not actually be accepted. My heart sank when I read it.

To those that got into PCC, congrats! It is a great program. I'm biased, but I would argue it is by far the best deal going.
To those that got wait listed, stay positive. Almost everybody that was wait listed last year got in.
