Hello everyone! I was an avid reader of last years articles on applying to schools here, and it really helped me get an idea of how many points I would need. I thought I'd return the favor. So far I've only applied at PCC with 54.5 points (I think). For some reason, I'm not getting any discretionary points at Chemeketa and very few at Mt. Hood, so I might just forgo them this year. Is it just me or are schools going to a model where you can only really have a chance if you take the prereqs there? Anyways, good luck everyone!!!!

I got my rejection from MHCC on Friday, too. Monday I have my interview at Lane and 4/16 I sit for the essay at PCC. Like the rest of you that applied to Clackamas, I am waiting for the points to close and notifications to go out. Best of luck to you all!

So does anyone have an idea about what to wear to the Proctored essay? I know that it's been said to "dress comfortably," but I feel that it's important to dress nice and show professionalism. Any thoughts??

I am wearing my scrubs because I have to work after the essay. From what I heard last year, some people wore scrubs and others dressed comfortably. It's not a formal interview so I'm not overly concerned about it.

Christy, I wore shorts and a t-shirt to the proctored essay last year - I did fine. There is no way for them to tie your essay to what you wear, and I am almost certain they wouldn't care anyways. Wear what you need to wear to be focused on doing your best work.

I spoke with someone in the admissions office and he told me they would be sending out notifications the middle of next week.
