I've been so busy with school that my dog forgot who I am.
I feel horrible because my wonderful puppy dog has to stay inside my apartment for long hours at a time, waiting for me to get home. I don't know how to not feel I am neglecting her while I am in nursing school and trying to work! She's my best friend and she deserves so much. I sure hope she doesn't ever forget who I am. I love her so much and she has been there for me through so muchalready. I guess we both have to be strong for one more year!

The first term you are on campus the most, but only half days about 3-4 days/ week. Consider this term your adjustment to a whole new learning style! You have plenty to keep you busy so staying up on assignments, projects and reading ahead of time are important. Clinicals come in at winter term, along with a heavier course load. It's a wonderful, stressful, rewarding, hectic mess of a time! And I love it. CCC is a great school with instructors who really care and are passionate about nursing!

Good idea or Bad idea for studying for the NCLEX?
One iphone app I use is called NCLEX RN QBANK. It's 0.99 but so worth it!

Good idea or Bad idea for studying for the NCLEX?
It's funny...I have two different apps on my phone and use them quite a bit too. As the time in nursing school goes on, I have noticed I'm getting a little better each time. Something must be sinking in!

Good idea or Bad idea for studying for the NCLEX?
I am just finishing up my first year of nursing school. I have been copying and pasting every one of my NCLEX quiz and exam questions from every class, with rationales, into file. I thought about converting these questions over to flash cards and using them to study for the NCLEX. I still have a year to go and will add significantly to the pile by the end. Does this sound like a good plan or a waste of time? I already have over 2000 questions saved!

For emmyers...I went to the county health department to get my immunizations. They only cost $15 each for my 2nd mmr and TD. I think they do titers there too. I can get you the number if you need it. And jillane...I actually DID cry. I was accepted into three schools and found that I had a tough time deciding between MT Hood and CCC. I chose CCC. And to tell the truth...I don't think I have stopped jumping up and down, lol. I am taking a couple classes right now during the summer- one to go towards my BA(stats). But super excited! We have all worked so hard to get here and it feels great knowing that we made it.

Pre-Nursing Health History & Phys Exam Forms
I have been accepted into a nursing program starting this Fall (yay!). At orientation, we were all given a Health History and Physical Examination Form to complete- part for us and part for the doctor. I guess my question is this: Could or Would I be rejected into the program if I am being treated for depression? I take a medication for it and do just fine. There is no concern whatsoever that my doctor will clear me. I am very healthy but worry that the school will see a problem with this! Any input would be great! Thanks. I might be overly panicked about it, but I just don't want ANYTHING to mess this up for me. I have worked so hard to get here!

Well, I can tell you that two people were called off the wait list this morning and attended today! They also said that there are about 20 others hoping and waiting to see if anyone drops out over the next month or so. Hope that helps a little. will post more later. Heading out to celebrate my birthday!
