Greetings fellow future nurses! I just mailed my application packets for Mt. Hood CC, Clackamas CC, and Portland CC today and excited to be done with them. I have my proctored essay for OHSU this Wednesday and am a little worried because I have NO idea what is going to be asked. I haven't been able to get any feedback on what is on any of the essays. I am also applying to Chemeketa but am probable wasting my time as I am missing 2 of the pre-recs required there that aren't required at the OCNE schools. Well, the worst they can say is no, right?
Anyway, the Oregon Nursing Programs sections has been a little dead lately so I was hoping to spark some dialogue. This is my first year applying and I'm already getting a little stressed. I kind of have a lot riding on getting in somewhere next fall. My fiance and I are kind of planning on it. I'm hoping that doesn't backfire! How's it going with everyone?
Thank you gibranam and emmyers I have taken care of my immunizations as of today. I also let them know that and they said that was good because they wouldn't call people after aug 17th since it wouldn't leave people time to finish. I am also taking the CPR class at the climb center July 6th. Would you suggest I drop that math class I previously mentioned in a different post? Thanks again, I am do anxious!
Share13,
Unless I hear an absolutely stunning recommendation from a friend of mine I'm meeting tomorrow for lunch, (who just finished his first year at PCC), I was planning on calling PCC and giving up my seat this next week. I got into Clark and I think it is a better fit for me. So we can test how long it takes for someone to give up a seat, and PCC to call the next alternate! Congratulations!

I got a call back from pcc today. They have filled all their spots and deposits have been paid. This leaves me in the #1 alternate spot! I can't believe I missed it by one spot! What do you think the chances are that 1 person will drop by August 17th? That is when they are requiring all immunizations done and final paperwork in.
