How's everyone doing with their Apps?
I applied to MHCC, CCC, PCC and Linfield.
It's my first year applying and I'm a nervous wreck!!!
How long does it usually take to hear whether or not you got an interview?
I was glad to see CCC changed their deadline to Feb 15th like the other OCNE schools-I think it'll make the waiting more bearable!
Anyone else want to share points to see how tight the competition is this year?
Other than Mt. Hood, I don't get too many discretionary points.
Heres what I *think* I have (figuring them myself):
MHCC-63 points
CCC-50 or 51 points depending on how they round up your gpa
PCC-54 points
Good luck everyone!!!
Let the nail biting, stalking the mailbox begin!
Hey I got waitlisted too! Just to let you know I have talked to a couple of people who have gone to Linfield and they have all told me that people on the wait list have a good chance of getting in. I don't know about you but that made me feel a lot better. I hope we both get in and will be the merry wait listers that work extra extra hardI will let you know if I hear anything so you know when they have spots "opening up!" Good Luck!
I got my waitlist letter in the mail too... not the best news, but it's better than a rejection I suppose :)
I put all of my eggs in the Linfield basket, so I'm keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed!
If anyone else is on the waitlist and gets an offer, post it on here so we all know there's been some action!
Does anyone know what percentage of waitlisters actually get in? If the wait for the first letter didn't kill me I think this one might...

Well, I had 59.7 points and got in. I'm not sure if that .7 made a significant difference. One of the advisors in the student employment office at PCC Sylvania (who helps place new nursing grads) told me that if I didn't have the CNA I might as well not apply. Seriously. She was that matter-of-fact about it. She wasn't trying to sell their CNA program necessarily. She just said to get it. I got the impression that the CNA cert, even if you don't blow out a lot of hours, can be a deal breaker.
