Everyone can relax today, tomorrow and Monday if they're waiting to hear from MHCC.....I finally caved and called them and got word from admissions that letter's are going out on Monday.
The wait for MHCC is killing me. I ended up applying there and PCC and since I didn't get into PCC I'm even more nervous than I was before. It's already been two months, but I have a feeling it will be a long weekend....
I have been stalking the last couple of weeks and wanted to thank those who have made phone calls and updated.
Like many of you I'm waiting on OHSU, CCC, and MHCC. Didn't think it would get to me but starting to check the mail every day as soon as I hear the clunk of the box.
Anyway, best of luck to all - anyone who gets in deserves it and I pull for everyone
Just wanted to say good luck to the PCC essay-writers this week... Is anyone doing anything special to prepare? My essay is tomorrow afternoon; I think I may go over the possible topics they list on the website, and brainstorm how my experiences and education support those concepts ( motivational fitness, stress tolerance, diversity, etc) . But I don't want to overdo it, either- just an outline to get the ideas flowing.

I made up a generic essay for the "why do you want to be a nurse?" question and will tailer it around other possible questions. Mine is tomorrow afternoon as well.
Kamaboko - it's at the bottom of the admissions page:
"The essay questions will not be based on any specific prerequisites or other courses, but will address general factors such as personal values, diversity, communication and critical thinking skills, motivational fitness, tolerance for stress and transferable skills."
So yeah, basically "why do you want to be a nurse?" plus "why will you be an effective nurse?". See you tomorrow!
