Applicants to Chico for Fall 2014??

Hi Everyone!

I'm just putting my feelers out to find others applying to the BSN program at Chico State for the Fall of 2014. The deadline to apply is in a week, so I'm getting excited and antsy!! I am from Arcata (Humboldt County) and live here currently, but I am excited to be hopefully moving to Chico in the fall!!

Okay so actually, I just called the normal admissions office and asked about the deposit and she said transfer students transferring specifically for the nursing program are EXEMPT of the 200 dollar deposit, so you just have to hit "accept" and then "exempt" !!!! hope that helps some people out. I just accepted my admission!

Thank you soooo much curly pearly you are a life saver. I was thinking the same thing, more money for somewhere I may not even attended if I don't get into the program. Ahh still frustrating.

Thank you, I didn't know we could choose exempt. They just told me that if the 200 was paid and we didn't get into the program then it would be refunded. Either way, I'm glad we wont be out money if we aren't attending!

Thanks for the info about them not sending out news Tuesday. Now I won't be anticipating anything! Do you know if they will send out an email with an update? And by any chance did anyone who called ask where they expect the cut off to be this semester? :)

Doesn't it seem like they would at least send us an email telling us that they aren't going to notify us today? What about all the other people who aren't on this forum?

They should definitely send out an email or post on the nursing website of the change. Or they will be getting a lot of calls after others get no response today.

Just checked on the nursing website to see, and they did put an update of the admissions notification change.

Nevermind I found it! "Note: Students that submitted applications for Fall 2014 will be notified of acceptance via e-mail during the first week of May."

I thought I responded to the thread when Momi959 updated us regarding the delay of the nursing admission decisions but I guess not. Hahaha. That definitely came as a surprise to me considering that Chico has been pretty spot on about sending out acceptance/rejection notifications (from what I've read on previous Chico threads).

Thanks Momi959 for letting all of us know! We might have been waiting to hear from Chico until someone checked the website.

Curlypearly! Thank you so so so so so much for calling admission decisions! You saved me 200 dollars in the case that I don't get accepted (even though another posted said you would get a refund back, I hope it isn't a hassle)...

We already waited this long. Whats another 2-3 weeks going to do, right? LOL.
