Applicants to Chico for Fall 2014??

Hi Everyone!

I'm just putting my feelers out to find others applying to the BSN program at Chico State for the Fall of 2014. The deadline to apply is in a week, so I'm getting excited and antsy!! I am from Arcata (Humboldt County) and live here currently, but I am excited to be hopefully moving to Chico in the fall!!

Good idea telling people in person first. When you do join the group, my name's Amelia just so you know!

For those who got in, what is the deadline for the background check? Chico is also my #1 because of location & kids . But I'm alternate in the mid-30s. :( feeling helpless but hopeful.

I'm pretty sure it said we just have to get all that done before clinicals start which is a couple weeks into the school year. Good luck st14! I'll cross my fingers for you.

St14, I got offered a seat yesterday as I was originally wait listed and was told they will mail me the packet this week, as picking up is not an option for me due to location. Best of luck! I hope you get offered a seat.

Thank you so much allaboutkitties! It is such a relief and I secured housing the same day. So being wait listed may have actually helped me in the process of securing housing. All the stress was worth it. Best of luck to you!

Anyone know what alternate number the nursing department is at? Will they tell me if I call?

You should just call, the worst they can say is that they can't tell you!

st14 if I were you I would call them and ask. I am pretty sure they can tell you. I would call when I was on the wait list and every time the person I spoke with was really nice and as helpful as they could be.

Thanks curlypearly and caligirl7 for your encouragement. I called today and the lady said they are at alternate #17. LOL. So far from my number. Disappointed but it's okay because I got into a couple of other CSU's (just not my preferred choice). I guess I will wait a bit longer to see if there is movement down the alternate list.

J/W what month is Chico nursing orientation?

st14, the orientation is in August, right before classes officially begin. That's what I gathered from the packet I was sent upon acceptance. I hope that helps you.
