Applicants to Chico for Fall 2014??

Hi Everyone!

I'm just putting my feelers out to find others applying to the BSN program at Chico State for the Fall of 2014. The deadline to apply is in a week, so I'm getting excited and antsy!! I am from Arcata (Humboldt County) and live here currently, but I am excited to be hopefully moving to Chico in the fall!!

I also applied to Chico's BSN program for this fall. I am from Sonoma County, so if I get in and choose Chico's nursing program, I will be moving there as well. Good luck!

Im planning on applying for the spring 2015 program because I missed the CSU application date. I have 88 Pts though and I've heard the cutoffs for the Fall 2013 and spring 2014 classes were both higher than previous, around 85-87 if I remember correctly. Kind of nerve wracking :/.

88 points seems pretty good! maybe since you still have a semester you can take co-requisites if you haven't already. good luck!

I agree I think that's a good standing. It does seem that each year it gets more and more competitive than it already is. I did a virtual advising session with Chico and the lady said that usually 85 points or more is a usually good standing. Obviously that can change depending on applicants, but that usually is a good standing from past experiences. I am at 89 points for fall 2014.

I'm at 92 if they accept my non-priority language for a point, but I thought about applying last semester but only would have had 85 or so points so I decided against it. I think someone told me that last semester the cut off was 87 but that was the highest ever, so it could easily be lower than that this semester. Who knows!

Wow 92, that is awesome! Best of luck I am sure you will get in with those points. Did you apply to any other schools? Is Chico your top choice?

I only applied to Chico, because their requirements are a little different than other schools so I was more competitive there. Also it just seems like a nice town!

Well best of luck! Seems like you have a great chance of getting in.

Thanks, you too! maybe I'll see you there!

Thank you! Ya, who knows we could end up be nursing classmates.

Hey guys!

So happy I finally found this thread! :)

Part of me is so relieved that everything has been submitted but then I think of mid-April and my heart drops!

As of right now, I stand at 86 to 87 points...

Question: Did any of you receive an e-mail from someone confirming that they received your TEAS transcript?
