Applicants to Chico for Fall 2014??

Welcome Sakakaka & Tarade: I wish you guys the best of luck! Don't be discouraged yet because you never know! I attended the online information session & the person hosting it stated that last fall, all those on the waitlist were accepted.

@Sakakaka: I was in your shoes just last week! Upon the recommendation of some of the other members on here, I was ABOUT to call and when I logged in on this Monday, it said that I have been offered admission to the University.... I suggest you call admissions and ask for your status on your application (Thanks to all those who suggested I do the same). :yes:

well, I just called admissions... She said they're still reviewing a lot of applications and that I have to keep checking my student center until further notice -_- wasn't the answer I wanted to hear but what can you do?!

Ok guys random question, nothing to do with this thread really. Do any of you use the mobile app for allnurses, if so, have you been having problems with it? I never use the computer to go on here, but now I am because I missed so much on in this thread. I like to keep up with you guys on here. Just wondering if others have had this issue? That's why I haven't been on here lately.

I am really hoping they stick to the timeline because for Mendo I already sent off my intent to enroll but I have to pay for the background check and drug screening on the 15th at the latest. So hopefully we will hear on or before that date so I don't have to shell out any more money to a school I may not end up at.

Sakakaka: Dang, Sorry calling didn't help, it sounds like they are pretty busy which isn't your fault. Waiting sucks though.

Caligirl7: I only use the computer version, so I don't know what to tell you about that. As for decision time, they better tell us on time!! I was snooping in last semester's forum and people were notified via email on like the 12th, and then probably got the physical letter on the 15th or something. I hope they do that for us, because that would mean we will find out tomorrow or the next day!

Good luck to everybody!! I hope we all get in so we can meet in person and be classmates in the fall!

Thanks curlypearly. It had done this before for like a day or so but now it's all the time. I feel lost when I go try and check updates. Guess for now I will just be keeping this as a tab on my computer and refreshing.

That would be awesome! If that's the case I want to wait to send my "acceptance" to Mendo that way for someone on their wait list they can start what they need to do and I am not filling a spot that I may not accept in the end depending on Chico's decisions. But, I also need to secure something in time so I don't automatically lose what could be my only option for nursing school. Also, I need to figure out housing once I decide where I am going based on where I get in.

Good luck!!! That would be fun to be classmates everyone on here is so nice.

I'm planning to apply to Chico next semester. For the 2 science and 2 non-science points portion, do we get to choose what classes you want to receive the points in, or is it based on whichever class you took first?

You choose/ its the best grades you have so even if you have two Bs and two As you would get the full points.

Congratulations on your acceptance to Mendo (Mendocino?)! Now I really hope that we hear back from Chico soon so that you don't have to waste any more money in the case that you do get accepted to Chico... I'm in the same position as you right now.

Thank you, yes Mendocino. I hope so too. At least the intent to enroll didn't cost me but the background check and drug test will, I am waiting on that until the last minute. I am sending out my "acceptance" to them today so they get it in time. It's the hardest part, this waiting for what our future entails. Fingers crossed, the sooner the better.

Hey guys I'm glad I found this thread! I also applied for fall14 into the BSN program. I live about an hour away so I will be doing a dreadful, but doable commute if I get in. I'm super anxious and hate waiting so I called the office of nursing a few days ago to make sure we would be notified by the 15 and they said because there were soo many applications notifications will not be going out until the first week of May. Not sure if any of you knew this already, but thought I would share this disheartening info. I don't know if I can take waiting any longer! Good luck to you all!

I just called the office of nursing just to double check what you said and she said they are "trying to notify us BY the 1st of May." So my question is... are we supposed to pay the 200 dollar deposit before we even find out if we are into the program? UGH!!
