hey, i took my teas about 2 weeks ago and came out with a combined score of 85%. 100 on the reading, 84 math, 44 science, 87 english. i was surprised i didnt score 90 and up on the math and english. english was trickier than i thought mainly the sentence structure got me. the science was tough since i used the ati study guide and they just dont cover enough physics, geology, chemistry, and some of the diagrams on the exam they provided were very ambiguous.
i am retaking the exam in 2 weeks and would like to be ready for it this time.
thanks
If anyone knows, were the "rock" questions igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary? Or did you need to know that quartz (as an example) was this one or that one? Thanks
The one that i had was sedimentary. Something about a river that empties into the ocean and the rock is very brittle and breaks easily. I forget the actually question, but I knew the answer was sedimentary.
to annine, science portion on tease is extremely broad. you have to know scientific reasoning, general science, life science, chemical science, physical science, and human body science. like i said its really broad, but usually its very basic stuff. planetary stuff, kinetic/potential energy, water cycle rocks, atomic structure, chemical bonding, oh knowing wave lengths wont hurt either. if someone has not mentioned the mcgraw hill study guide in previous post then i will mention it again. it covers more of the science areas then ati or kaplan (3r edition at least).
