Anyone working full-time and completing BSN to MSN online?

Nursing Students Online Learning

I am currently weighing my options and determining my next steps in advancing my degree in nursing. I would like to apply to begin the next level of education in 2018. Is anyone currently working full-time and completing a BSN-MSN online? If so, are you going part-time or full-time? What specialty are you preparing for? What program are you enrolled in? How's it going?

It's been a couple of years, but I completed a full time BSN to MSN program while working not only full time but also more than full time as a result of working in a procedural area that requires call. It really comes down to your support system and what you are willing to sacrifice. I paid a cleaning service to take care of my house (I live alone, so it's not like I could ask someone else in the house to do extra), I had a meal prep service that prepared and froze meals- all I had to do was thaw and heat. I pretty much gave up my social life. I used a lot of vacation time to take days off when I needed to do in-person classwork. I made it work for me.

Did you complete it online or on campus? Which program did you attend?

Thank you for your reply. Did you complete your MSN online, on campus, or hybrid? Which program did you attend?

Mine was all online up until the last semester, when I had a practical component. I did an MSN education program.

I just finished my MSN in December of 2016 through . I worked full time throughout. It was very do-able. Happy to answer any questions you have.

I'm in the capstone (last class!) for the MSN at . I work full time, M-F. Totally doable. :)

I did an MSN in Nursing Informatics (2011-2015) and an MSN in Nursing Education (2014-2017). Both were online, and even overlapped for a bit. I worked full time with extra jobs and even did some of the first one while deployed to Afghanistan (where I worked 280 days in a row, essentially). Totally doable. :)
